I loved mine.....of course. The Carltun. Hands down...a great place. Classy & elegant...I guess that's the same thing.
I was also deciding between that & Tribeca (totally different feel...took WAY too long to get there in traffic)) & The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers (nice...but lacking something for me).
I LOVED Lands End...but it was too far from our church.
I really wanted to have our wedding at the Carltun, but they made it really ridiculous to bring in an outside caterer (we needed kosher). They wanted us to pay almost the full $$ per head without using their food, drinks, dishes, etc.... it was insane. But what a great place to get married, you are very lucky!!!!

After visiting about six different places, and doing tons of research....we 'fell in love' with our place DeSeversky in Old Westbury. We went there as we were driving thru one day. The place is not allowed to advertised due to town constraints, so not many people know about it. It is located within the NY Institute of Technology grounds, but the mansion has its own entry way (which is very impressive). It is nestled between other huge modern mansions, but there is plenty of space. Many brides rent the grounds to have their photos taken there. They are a little pricey and will not accomodate more than a 130 people comfortbly, but you have full use of the mansion.
I love the grounds, but the inside is impressive as well. It is not a huge place; it feels like you are walking into somebody's home. I love the fact that it is one wedding at the time and their bridal suite is 'to die for' You can also rent the mansion for the night. It will only be you and your husband in such. Breakfast will be served in the morning.
Atlantica...my dream RH!!! Way out of our price range though....

I would still go with CB, I would not change it. We went to a bunch of halls and CB was the only one that really wow'ed me. Im sure I will get flamed for this but I did not want huge over sized chandeliers and flowery designs, etc. i wanted something that was funky...so CB it was

I love my RH (Woodbury Country Club) but definitely the Carltun in Eisenhower Park would have been our #1 choice if we had unlimited funds.

I always wanted to have my wedding at the Waldorf Astoria (hey, you said money was no object!!!)
In reality, we didn't even look at any places in the City, FH wanted something on LI and I didn't really care as long as it was affordable.

Chateau La Mer!!! Funny, I am actually getting married there. But if money was no issue, I would have an early September wedding instead of November.

Re: Which was your favorite RH?
I have to say, I'd still pick my hall! I am absolutely in LOVE with it!!! To be honest, I looked at Jericho Terrace quite a few times online and I didn't really consider it because #1, I orginally wanted a place overlooking the water, and #2 - I thought it was going to be way out of my pricerange. I'd really recommend going to look at it. Their rooms have diff feels, and even diff parts of the lobby have different feels. There are a hundred places to take beautiful pics!!! The only thing I'd change about my hall is relocating it to the ocean!! lolz...
