So... usually Rehersals in at my Church are on Thursday nights. My wedding is on Saturday. The church said I can do it on Friday if I really want to. Now that I think about it, I'm not sure what I should do. Do you think Friday night, the night before the wedding I will be too busy to do the dinner/rehersal? What would you do?

I would do it 2 days before, that's what I want to do. The night before I just want to relax.

Re: Which would you do?
yeah, stick with thursday.
the day before my wedding insane and i was very happy to relax a little bit that night (and get to bed early-ish)
not to mention, you don't want your bridal party attending your wedding with a hangover

Re: Which would you do?
My church only does rehearsals on Thursdays and Fridays and our wedding is a Friday.
We chose to do the rehearsal the whole week before (Friday before) b/c I didnt want to do it just the night before teh wedding.
It works out better for everyone that way.

Re: Which would you do?
I day before my wedding is Thanksgiving, so we're having it two days before.
I was originally hesitant about picking my date just because I wanted to have the traditional RD the night before, but now I'm actually really happy I have the night to spend time with my OOT family and relax .

I was in the same exact position. Although I had really wanted to do it Friday, we did do it on Thursday and it was a great decision.
We were able to enjoy the rehearsal dinner without having to worry about the wedding the next day.
Plus on Friday, I picked up my gown, saw my Bo-k's than that evening the girls, my mom and dad and aunt all had our nails and feet done. Yes., my dad too.
Then we went back to the hotel and had dinner and relaxed before the big day.
It really worked out better for us to do it Thursday. And we even had out of town BP members that were able to make it.
Good luck with your decision.

Re: Which would you do?
We did it the night before. But our circumstances were different. We stayed at the hotel the night before the wedding so it worked out better for us. We also didn't want out people to have to worry about work the next morning. So all the crazy stuff that normally had to be done the day before had to be 2 days before. I loved that we did this b/c on the day before all we did was relax and enjoy or friends and family. We had a great dinner and the hotel hat a hut tub & pool so it was nice and relaxing. I would highly reccoment this to anyone if possible. I had a great relaxing day before!

that's what I would suggest, the Friday before the wedding (one week prior) that way you have time to recover, relax and make any changes that you want after the rehearsal!

I agree - you should take Friday to relax and do last minute things.

Re: Which would you do?
only reason why I say do it 2 nights before is if you do it the night before, and your bridal party are a bunch of drinkers (like ours is ) you don't want them hung over for your wedding day (esp the girls if you have to wake up early for hair and makeup!) =) just my opinion!

Re: Which would you do?
Do it Thursday. You're going to want the day before for any last minute details or even just to relax.
Or do it the week before. We did ours the week before and it was great. We got to really enjoy it as a separate party and not have to worry about people with hangovers or rushing around.

Re: Which would you do?
I'm doing mine a week before...on a Friday night.
Much less pressure and lets you concentrate on getting ready for the big day throughout that last week.

Re: Which would you do?
do you have anyone in your BP that is coming from OOT? If you have a few then I would do it on Friday so they are able to be there, but if not then thursday would work nicely

My church does it on friday and I am trying to get them to do it on thursday. I definately think 2 days in advance is good.

Re: Which would you do?
We have a Saturday wedding and we are hoping to do the rehearsal 2 days before (Thursday). I want that whole day before to be able to drop anything else off at the RH that I need to and then just relax with my mom - probably going for massages and mani/pedis

Re: Which would you do?
I am doing it the night before my wedding because 2 nights before is St. Patty's Day and I cant ask the wedding party to give up that night!

Re: Which would you do?
Our wedding is a Friday so we are doing our RD the night before the wedding. We are making it into a wedding weekend and are excited about having it the night before. We are also staying in a hotel out there that night so we will just have to have everything ready to go 2nights before.
