While we are on the stamp topic...

While we are on the stamp topic...

Does anyone know how much invites generally weigh when mailing them? Mine are 5 x 7 Zfolds (sort of like pocket folds but not quite). I want to order the stamps from usps.com since they have some pretty ones and I'm not sure if the post office will have the same ones. Has anyone ordered stamps from USPS.com and if so how long did it take to recieve the stamps? Thanks!

I ordered my stamps for my STD's and they came within like days LITERALLY. Like maybe 2-3 days. They are SUPER SUPER quick!

When I got my pocketfolds weighed I was told 1.00 but dont think that includes the surcharge because they are square.

I ordered the 73 cent stamps just to be safe - Mine took about 4 days to get

you have to make sure you bring them to the post office before you order the stamps. its not just about weight, its about size too. and if it is 'bendable'. it doesnt mean they will feed it through the machine if you want to had cancel them, if its not bendable it could be considered a parcel which is more $.

I ordered custom stamps from zazzle.com. We took one invite to the post office first and had them weigh it and tell us how much postage each one would need and then ordered accordingly.

I weighed mine when I got the sample... I think it was about 75 cents... and mine is a 5x7 pocketfold but not square.

Definitely bring one to the post office first so they can verify the postage cost. Mine were square and cost $1 each

Mine were the same 5 by 7 pocketfolds with two inserts, plus the response envelope (WHICH I FORGOT TO PUT STAMPS ON!!!) and hotel inserts. Garden City Hotel gives BIG custom printed inserts, so it was added postage, but it was 76 cents per invite.

In my defense, I'm working on a major federal murder trial while getting this stuff done, and it took four days and five post offices (down here in VA) before one had the stamps I needed for a wedding and would hand-cancel (which I had to do myself) -- so, the response envelopes went totally off the radar!!!
