While we're on the subject of e-pics...

While we're on the subject of e-pics...

FH and I are not beach people, so we know we don't want e-pics at the beach.

A little about us: we are both computer game nerds, we love movies, and like vintagey style.

I loooove the idea of going to Old Bethpage Restoration Village for e-pics because I think there are a lot of really cool backdrops there to be photographed at. BUT, I am worried it may be too much walking around to find the right spots, and I don't exactly know how long we'd have, if e-pics are time-based (IDK, are they???) I don't want to waste all our shooting time walking around.

Can anyone think of any places that may offer a similar aesthetic? Or, alternatively, an old theater or someplace like that we could shoot at, to reflect our love of the movies/all that is vintage? Or any other suggestions, really?!?!

TIA!

crashing.....

We did our E-pics at coney island. even though the beach is there you can catch a lot of great shots on the boardwalk and the historic parts of coney island, and playing the games and even get on the rides. We had a ton of fun...here go some of my e-pics

Coney Island is a cute idea (and I love your pics!) but I feel like it still doesn't have that laid back feel that I am hoping for... The cloisters is such a good idea, but they charge extra to travel outside of LI... so I'd really like to keep it in Nassau/Suffolk! I really can't think of anything on LI!

What about Theater Three in Port Jeff? There are also a lot of other cool vintage looking places out there.

what about the Nunley's Carousel? It's restored and in one of the Museum Row locations near NCC.

I think we are considering the Duck Pond Park in Roslyn, but I'm still thinking about this one..I def don't want it to be too crowded to have to worry about people getting in the shots or limiting where we can go...

When are you doing them?? -- weather could affect the decision

I'm doing the Islip Grange in Sayville. It's a beautiful park with 19th century buildings including an old chapel.
