Whipped cream wedding cake

Can a whipped cream wedding cake be kept out during the duration of the reception???

I am DYING to have strawberry shortcake wedding cake with whipped cream frosting, but my bakery said that it may not be a good idea to leave the cake out all night. Ughhh...I don't know what to do because I want whipped cream with the strawberry filling, not buttercream.

although it sounds amazing - I don't think it would last the reception.....

those cakes are good but must be refrigerated unfortunately. maybe the can make a small cake that can be kept in the back so you can have that cake instead of the wedding cake

Maybe instead of grooms cake - you can have bride's cake! Elie424 FH - if you're reading this - please get her this cake for her wedding day!!!!!

Maybe get a second opinion but they must know what lasts if they have been in the business.. That sounds delicious, strawberry shortcake is one of my favorites

I used to work at a bakery, and we used to tell people to not leave whip cream out for all that long at all. It starts to drip and could go sour.

I don't think it would last :(
Maybe the RD or shower?

If it's true whipped cream, it can't stay out.

Francesco's makes a 'as close as you'll get' whipped cream that will stay out, and as delicious and non-buttercream-like as it is, it is a bit different than the real thing.

Honestly though, if they are willing to refrigerate it for you, have them do that. They'll wheel it out in time for you to do pictures and cut it, etc.

Im pretty sure strawberry shortcake has to be refrigerated. It maight not make it thru the reception and Im not sure that the whipped cream wouldnt go bad

I am using Black Forest Bakery and I am having whipped cream frosting. I asked the baker about it and she said when it is done right whipped cream can hold up just as good as butter cream.

We had a whipped cream wedding cake...it remained out during the reception and was absolutely PERFECT when it was time to serve it! Check with your baker.

yeah I'm not sure if the whipped cream would hold up (even though that sounds like a delicious wedding cake). Maybe just see how it will taste with maybe buttercream and see if it's a good substitute for you
