White Casablanca Lillies

Original post by Nina

So...I always have loved these lillies...but I also pictured them on the beach somewhere....tropical.

Far from Russos'......so...that being said...do you think white casablanca lillies will look to tropical or summery for a September wedding?

I love those dang flowers...however, I don't even know what season they are in.....anyone?

I love those flowers. I think they're perfect for a September wedding, not too tropical looking because they are white. Also I think the white will go with any color scheme you're thinking of doing.

Thanks for all your help girls!!

I was just thinking of doing it for my bouquet,, no cp's. But now I'm curious since everyone has made the comment....how fragrant are these bad boys exactly?!?!? Is it a good or bad smell.

You know whats fine..and all the florists I have talked to know this...I have given them two things..
One scheme which is the champagne and all champagne roses and neutral.
The other which is lime green and magenta..with all tropical flowers.

If I do the tropical look I was going for gladiolas(white and pink) for centerpieces, the last florist I talked to....was like...Um...no...those are for funerals!!!!

I was about to say...knock one of my flower choices again and you'll be having a funeral!! Anyhoo..just angered me...don't care if they use them at funerals or not..i like gladiolas...and plus...I haven't decided between my two themes yet.

But back to my original question...what do the lilies smell like?!?!?

Yes I do. Us early September brides are at the cusp. We are technically still summer (it's not fall until the 21 or so). I think they are beautiful!!!

I'm using them for my boquet as well...red roses and white lillies, and I'm a november wedding, so IMO there's nothing wrong with them in sept. They smell very sweet, like a honeysuckle (but slighty, slightly more musky)

They are gorgeous!! The main flower I want for my bouquets and centerpieces is the Iris...but ALOT of vendors are telling me that they will not withstand the entire night...so we are getting realistic silk ones to throw in there! if the smell of the lillies is too powerful, or they aren't in season then, you can always go with silk ones!!!!! if they are done right, you can't even tell the difference!

ETA-- Silk ones mixed in with other 'real flowers'
