Im wearing diamond white because it is not as stark white as reg. white... The regular white just didn't go with my complexion and made me look sick.

ivory but you can wear a colored dress - people do that or do a color trim/accent. I don't think age has anything to do with it, it is more of what is your style.

Wear what you want. I ordered my 1st gown in white cause of tradition...1st marriage, 1st man in my life, no kids, blah blah ....But I always thought the cream color looked more elegant so for the second gown I got it in gold..or wtvr color it is.

Pick what you want to wear, forget about traditions

I think wearing white is questionable b/c there are so many other options out there. You have Diamond white, you have ivory, cream. I think it's just a normal thing to ask. I had alot of people ask me if I was wearing white just joking around :-P

I just think its another one of those questions people ask for the sake of asking when it comes to wedding stuff lol

I am wearing white!
However I sometimes have a hard time because I find a dress I REALLY like... and it's NOT WHITE in the stores.. and it's hard to picture. Especially the ones with lace on them!

I will be wearing ivory...i hate the way white looks on me. The men in the bridal party will be wearing ivory shirts and my flower girl has an ivory dress that way there wont be a difference in color in the pictures.

I think they are probably asking you if wearing white as opposed to ivory.. not white as opposed to other colors

i agree....i dont think they expect you to say colors like blue, red, purple its just there are SO MANY shades of 'white'......to me every bride wears white - its just a different shade, i wore ivory but look at my pictures, im wearing a white dress KWIM?

I wore ivory as it looked better on my pale skin. If you do choose ivory the guys MUST wear ivory shirts so your dress doesn't look 'yellow' or dingy next to them.

I'm wearing ivory because I think it will look better on me than white would. The funny thing is that I always knew that I didn't want a bone white dress.

Well ivory is very popular now and then there's diamond white and satin white and blah blah blah. Maybe because celebrities are going with dresses in color? Maybe you're so fashionable and stylish that they think you'll dare to go different!

I am wearing a white dress but not because I want too. I'm only doing it to make FH and the parents happy. I much rather where a colored dress. I love color and I'm always doing something daring. There is nothing wrong with wearing a white dress though, so if thats what you like go with it.

I think that it has become a trend to wear ivory or other colors because somepeople like the way the detail come out on the dress.

I'm wearing white and I'm 32 and have a kid. Tho, it will be my 1st and hopefully only marriage. When I mentioned I may wear a Antique Gold or something or rose, everyone thought I was nuts. I originally ordered my dress in some gold color but then switched to White. it'll never go out of style and I decided to go the traditional route.

My grandmother can't understand why I'm wearing white. She's old school Dominican. She thinks that only 'virgins' should wear white. Other than her I've never heard of anyone, specially around my age (I'm in my 20's) ,comment on white dresses.
