Re: White gold and/or platinum v. yellow gold jewlery

Yep, I mix 'em and I have yet to be arrested by the fashion police. In fact it's quite the opposite. I'm usually complimented on my accessories.
I don't wear a lot of jewelry, but the watch I wear most often is stainless steel and my e-ring & wedding band are platinum. I'm not about to take those pieces off so I can wear yellow-gold earrings. Usually if I'm wearing bracelets/bangles/cuffs, I don't have a watch on anyway.
I agree with this....I mix all the time..

I try to match jewelry, but sometimes I am lazy and keep my yellow gold earrings in when I wear white gold necklaces. My e-ring is white gold, but it is my first piece of jewelry that I wear everyday that is white gold. Most of my older jewelry is yellow gold. So, if I want to wear those pieces, then I have to be mismatched. I don't mind since most of my jewelry has sentimental value.

No...I wouldn't wear them together. I really only wear my plat wedding set, and other jewelery that is WG... I have very very few YG pieces that I wear randomly...(some that hold alot of sentimental value)

Re: White gold and/or platinum v. yellow gold jewlery
on my 18th birthday, my Dad had a necklace custom-made for me. You need to use your imagination for this example, but it looks like this: -----o-----o-----o------ all the way around.
The bars are white gold, and the balls are yellow, but there are bezel-set diamonds in them.
It is SO beautiful, and I get compliments everytime I wear it.
This is the only time I'll wear yellow/white together.
FH's watch is stainless steel with 18K gold accents - he has darker skin than I do, and yellow gold looks best on him. His cross and chain are both yellow, and he wears a 2toned bracelet, so he wants a 2toned wedding band.
