Re: White vs. Diamond White??

Diamond white isn't as bright as white. My satin wedding gown was diamond white, if you put my shoes real close to the dress you could see the slight difference.

Re: White vs. Diamond White??

I know, it gets confusing. My dress is silk white, which is like diamond white........you need to find out which your dress is. Make sure you are certain. When I tried my dress, the woman kept insisting that the sample was white but it was silk white--which I had a feeling.

Re: White vs. Diamond White??

mt dress is diamond white and I tried it on with a white veil today, you could see a diff if you were looking for it, but basically it is just not as 'shocking' as white white

Re: White vs. Diamond White??

I was told this weekend that with maggie dresses the scale goes White--Diamond White--Ivory So, it is in the middle of white and ivory, however maggie's ivory dresses are not very ivory compared to other designers... hope this helps!!

Re: White vs. Diamond White??

Silk can never be truly white, so to match a white silk dress, you get a diamond white veil. Silk/diamond white is just a little bit softer than white-white, but definitely not ivory.

Re: White vs. Diamond White??

Well everyone has covered it. My dress is diamond white too....I was relieved that the veils came in diamond white.....worried about shoes....have gotten mixed advice about how it will/won't matter (using regular white ones), anyone?

Re: White vs. Diamond White??

It looks really different when you put them together. I also have a silk white dress, that is not whitewhite, but a greyer white, I guess.

you need to try on both and see which is better for your skin color.
I looked awful in whitewhite, but nice in ivory and diamond white.

Re: White vs. Diamond White??

I had a diamond white gown, diamond white veil and i dyed my shoes to match the gown.....there are apparently over 70 shades of white.....ask them when you buy your shoes if you can have them dyed.
Personally, i noticed a difference when i put the shoes next to the dress, so i wanted to make sure they matched.
