I'm really into pinot grigio and I'm obsessed with Kris. I think it's just as good (if not better) than Santa Margarita and it's half the price. In most stores it's $13-$14 a bottle but FH has found cases of it online on sale for $10 a bottle. Seriously, get a bottle and try it. It blows Pindar and most other pinots out of the water.

You can try the Muscato... Its a desert wine so that may be nice as a favor

I agree with the Riesling as my favorite. I'd be cautious with the Pinot Grigio because I feel that a cheap bottle of that TASTES like a cheap bottle. You might want to consider giving Moscato, which is a sweet dessert wine. It's SO good and refreshing and is usually very inexpensive (can find for less than $10 per bottle). Plus, it's a fun dessert drink so no one is going to snob out over its taste!

Pugliese Vineyard is LI based...their wines are tasty and they have small bottles that they will custom write on for free!!
As gifts for friends when they got engaged I had bottles sent to them with the date of their engagement, it looked really pretty and their labels are nice as well.
