I am thinking about giving white wine bottles as my favors for my post nuptial wedding ceremony. I would like to know what is the most common white wine?? Which do you ladies prefer? Which is the most elegant but not expensive to give as a favor? I love Pindar's Riesling but it is going to cost at least $13 a bottle everywhere I look. What else is there?
Which would you prefer-a regular bottle or one of the half bottles? I don't want it to look cheap and I'm afraid that is how it will look.....I also think I am leaning towards RELAX, it does say alot about personalities but I really wanted to use a LI WIne

Re: White Wine
Barefoot makes some good, inexpensive wines.
Remember to ask the liquor store for a volume discount; we bought our mini-wine bottles as our e-party favors and got 20% off and saved a bundle.

That is a really nice white! I was going to say also if you do Pindar go to their vineyard they might discount more than the liquor store will if you buy direct from them. It's certainly worth the drive to find out.
Relax- is also a really good Reisling, as well as Laurel Lake, both about $10 a bottle.
Another good white is a Chardonnay & Pinot Grigio blend by Luna Di Luna. It comes in a really pretty blue bottle too about $10-$12 a bottle also.

If you become a wine club memeber at pindar (for free) you can get up to 20% off. I love wine and try to stay on the less expensive side... This summer I have been loving Barefoot Pinot Grigio and they make the little bottle too... great for tailgating, LOL!!!!

I love Winter White, and it's not too expensive at all. Santa Margarita is great, but very expensive.
Beringer also makes a mix between red and white, it's called White Merlot. I'm not a red wine drinker, but this stuff is fantastic.....and very easy on the wallet.

I love Relax riesling but does it look like a cheap bottle to give as favors? I think it suits our personalities too

Agreed!!! Laurel Lake makes an excellent Reisling...
...but definitely ask about buying bulk... I know quite a few vineyards will offer discounts...
Laurel Lake's Riesling is $15.99/BOTTLE but they offer an 18% discount for order of 24 or more... if you were going to order a very large quantity maybe they would even go higher on the discount.

Pindar's winter white is my fave. If you don't like the labels on the Relax, you can always do a DIY custom label - so easy!

I looooove the Relax Riesling. There's also Polka Dot and Stone Creek (I think) that are really good. Stone Creek is a little less sweeter than the other 2. They're all between $8.99 and $9.99 a bottle.

Re: White Wine
Riesling is my favorite white wine...hands down.
However, as far a reasonable and good white, Pindar's winter white is great, Ospreys Dominion's Regina Maris Chardonnay is awesome and we scored a great deal...a case was like $60 with a discount which is$5 a bottle. And Chardonnay happens to be the most popular white wine consumed.
