This is a new term for me and do not know anyone who has used one. I was leaving up the tipping to the best man and MOH....
So I was just wondering what everyone felt about them. What is their main purpose?
Also I am not too fond of wedding planners. The last two friends who had wedding planners I thought they were such a waste....
So is this the same or different...

ha ha i'm so self involved today with my ankle i thought you meant doctor.
i'm not having one, think it's unneccessary unless you are having a big extravagant affair. I hear they can be pretty helpful on the day of and take a lot of the stress off you. I don't plan to be stressed though.

i think if i made a lot of DIY items that i wanted set up a certain way and we were having the wedding at a location and having the food catered in - then i would get one....but for the type of wedding we are having i dont think we need one.....

i had one for my day of - just this past sunday and i cannot say enough about how helpful she was! Seriously - you can't be everywhere all of the time and you kinda need to be....so she was 100% helpful & wonderful!!!!!!!!!

i booked one because i dont want to worry about a thing the day of. she'll handle all the little details for me and make sure everythings going smoothly.

I am using Gina (Details by Gina). She is really a great person and has been helping me a lot so far. I mainly am using her because I have a 5 year old daughter who I am going to be worrying about on the day of, so I want to be stress free about the wedding. (Doubt that will happen though)

I am using Christine from exquisite affairs. It is really nice to know that I will not be bothered with any issues that may arise and my family and friends will not have to be bothered also.
You can get a DOC for pretty cheap so I felt like why not.

My DOC is my best friend. It was beneficial for me to have one because I have a TON of OOT guests and she knows a majority of my family. I need someonw to take care of things so that I don't have to. Ladies, I can't relax long enough to get sleep these days........

ditto... i was an event planner for a few years but got a great offer to work in publishing. so when i got engaged i knew i could plan the wedding from top to bottom but i would have a DOC no matter what!
i have christine from exquisite affairs. i've known her for 10 years and i'd trust my life with her, so why not my wedding day.
