I'm a newbie! My name is Mary Ellen and my FH and I got engaged this past Christmas Eve. I didn't join this site until last month but I'm so excited that I did because the ideas and advice on here are great! I'm an elementary school teacher in Brooklyn and not looking forward to going back to work next week!

I introduced myself on the Brides Helping Brides board and thought they were all the same thing at first...lolz...but I'll re-introduce myself here...

My name is Christy but everyone calls me Tiny..I think my grandfather jinxed me when he nick-named me that when I was born..because I'm only 4'11!!

I got engaged last year on Aug 6..it was a total surprise even thought I was with my FH for a little over 4 years at that point. He took me on a cruise..and it was amazing :)

I wasn't like the typical girl who had a million wedding ideas picked out, I just never really saw myself with a huge wedding..etc...so I put it off..but all of a sudden my maternal clock started tickin and I want a baby..like YESTERDAY! So, we decieded to take the next step..and now I am LOVING all this wedding stuff!!

We really wanted to get married next summer ('08) but the more we look into things, the more we realize that '09 will be better financially..

BUT..I love you '08 girls so much so I'm staying here!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHA!! Hope nobody minds!
