My brother is getting married in 2 weeks, and he just called me saying my mother insists he get flowers for our 'aunt'. He is her absolute favorite, but does he really ned to get her flowers/corsage? AND he told me he's getting one for his godmother......I wasn't planning on doing that.
Anyway, if he gets flowers for our aunt, then I need to too! And my godmother!
My mom said, 'well, next time you want chickarina soup, remember Aunt Fasi and the fact that you didn't get her flowers.'
WWWHHHHHAAATTTTTTTT???!!!
Granted, I love her to death, but that opens a HUGE can of worms!

I was going to do Aunt corsages also but decided against it...One of my favorite Aunts is in my bridal party and the other one is doing a reading...I am not close with the other ones so I don't think it would look right if I gave them a corsage...But I think if you have Aunts that you are close with, I say go for it!!

Corsages: 2 Moms 1 Grandma 2 Godmothers 2 Aunts (they were our readers) SIL

I say mom, grandmas, and people in the wedding party or those participating in the ceremony somehow get flowers, that's it. I think the other aunts would be a little hurt if one got them and no one else did. The one exception I could see is maybe for a godmother.

I hate corsages. That being said, I only got them for my grandmas - they're old fashioned and I knew they'd love them.
I had my mom and my DH's mom and stepmom carry long callas with a ribbon.
I didn't get flowers for my readers - both are very stylish and I knew they wouldn't want a corsage. I did give them gifts at the RD though.

I've decided not to give my aunts a corsage. I feel that if I give my aunts then I have to give my uncles a boutanniere as well. So I decided to just give:
corsages: my mom fi's mom my grandmother his grandmother my sister in law
boutanniere's: my dad my stepdad fi's stepdad fi's grandfather
