Who are you inviting to the Rehearsal Dinner?

Who are you inviting to the Rehearsal Dinner?

Let's just say, it has become an issue. Are you inviting JUST those directly involved in the rehearsal (bridal party, parents, siblings, readers, etc.) OR are you also inviting any out-of-town guests that will be staying at the hotel the night OF the rehearsal dinner (my RD is AT the hotel restaurant the night before the wedding), which I've been told is proper etiquette. I would appreciate your feedback.

'Those involved' includes their significant others, as well. .

We're inviting those involved in the wedding and their guests as well as OOT guests (OOT meaning from more than 2 hrs away, not all of the people on FHs side who're coming in Fri night just because from Rockland County).

We also are inviting our Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents and first cousins which unfortunately leads to a very large rehearsal dinner.

We invited those involved in the rehearsal, their significant others and OOT guests. I wanted to keep it small but since MIL paid for it, it was kind of out of my hands.

But had FH and I paid for it ourselves, we would have just kept it as just those directly involved in the rehearsal (bridal party, parents, siblings, readers, etc.).

hope this helps

We're doing it two days before the wedding because the day before the wedding is Thanksgiving. The only people invited are those that are in the BP, their significant others, and our parents.

We're having the RD Thursday night - 2 days before the wedding - and we're inviting everyone that is directly involved. So that includes our immediate family, bridal party and spouses, readers and their families and that's it.

This has come up for us too and we're not sure yet. Our bridal party, those involved in ceremony, and significant others = 52 people. But FIL's are paying for it, so if they want to invite OOTers too it's fine with me. So much for keeping it small and relaxing though!

We are inviting everyone in the bridal party with there spouses, we would also like to invite our OOT guests but we are not sure if we are gonna be able to....FIL are paying for it so there might be a limit.

Our RD will be 2 days before the wedding...the night before is too hectic for my taste.

We're inviting:
- our bridal party + their sig.others
- parents
- readers + their sig. others
- trumpet players + their sig. others (friends playing trumpet @ ceremony)

I'm thinking about inviting my grandmothers because they'll be walked down the aisle, but then I have to invite my 2 uncles that will be walking them down and their wives - it just adds a lot more people - and do they really need to rehearse walking down? We'll see.

In total w/o grandmothers, we're figuring about 27 ppl.

Do we invite the priest/deacon?

we're having a Friday wedding so the rehearsal is the week before and we may have a casual back yard bbq at fil's house.

Also in attendance will be my DOC.

Edit to Add - this totals 42 people.

We are inviting all of those involved in the rehearsal plus a few family members who will be in town the night before. So not everyone who will be here the night before but some of them. There were certain people my dad felt should be included so they were invited.
