I attended the bridal show yesterday at the marriot and I have to say I was not impressed. Can anyone recommend a photographer and a videographer that has the best quality and most options for a reasonable and affordable amount of money......

You will hear about them constantly on this site and they did raise their prices for 2005 so I don't know if they are still 'reasonable' but check out www.duetweddings.com

I agree, at first it may seem like they are expensive. But in comparison to others, you get a lot more for your money. With same amount of money, most companies only give you one photographer. With Duet you get two photographers. Here's the introductory package.

The video only companies seem to do a better job than the ones that combine video and photography. Bliss Productions and Wild Rose both impressed me.
In addition, if you want film photography, I would highly recommend Daniel Coyle. I have never seen such beautiful pictures. He is out of my price range though.

i am using lawrence photo in bayside, they are the house photographers for a ton of reception halls, and they are very reasonable.
another 12th night bride....and we checked him out because of people on this site---needless to say they were RIGHT!!!!

We booked patken...we love their style and their prices are also reasonable for a company that has been around for 20 yrs

We went to 7 photographers searching for the most and best quality for our money and we went with Artisan Photo and Media Group. Our e-pics came out great!

Went with Patken...found them right in line with other photographers and they had a more photojournalistic style which we preferred.

I wasn't too impressed with the Marriott Bridal Expo either!
For photography I booked Spelman Studios...it seems like you get a lot of pics for your money! Christine is awesome too....I really am looking forward to working her and all the people that have reviewed her on this site say she is amazing. She is a bit pricey, but no more so than other photographers we met near her quality level....and pictures are important...one of the only tangible things you can keep from the big day!
For videography we booked Timeless Treasures...they also have great reviews on this website and their prices can't be beat!

We are using Sal Motto for photos and Jules of VSofNY for video. fm me if you want more info...they are great!!!!
