I wasn't sure if i wanted to spend the money on a doc, b/c my mom usually does it for everyones wedding in our family, and so does FH's mom, but thats just it, they need to enjoy the day and relax too...but after speaking w/ rosalie OMG she presented herself to me over the phone like we we're face to face.
That says alot to me! So i guess thats means back to the bank, and starting a new budget

Is the DOC only present for the big day? What does she do and how much? Does she attend the rehearsal?

I just booked Michelle from Defining Moments, for both DOC and makeup. She is such a doll and knows her stuff. I know I've made a good decision.

i'm using rosalie... she's great and she's a pistol (in a good way). she seems like she'd whip the slacker vendors into shape... not that any of my vendors will need it, but still---

Francesca from Dazzling Affairs. She's so awesome! Just had my menu selection this past Tuesday and she was with me every step of the way. She's so willing to help in all aspects of the wedding that any wedding day jitters I had in the past is completely wiped out now! Her prices are very reasonable too!

I definitely feel that a DOC is necessary...

First off... I always need to be in control and know what is going on... and I know that I won't be able to on my wedding day nor do I want to be. So I will need someone (not my mommy or my MOH, b/c I want them to enjoy the day just as much as I will) but I need someone else to just handle everything.

Secondly... I am not having my wedding at a typical wedding hall... so there needs to be a lot of extras done b/4 I get there.

The DOC does the following and a whole lot more...

*handling the final payout of all vendors
*they are at the wedding reception place earlier then you to make sure that your flowers, favors, cake, photographer and anything else is there on time and is put exactly where you want it. ie centerpieces, candles, pictures, favors...
*they are by your side every second to make sure you are happy at every moment
*they do so much more...

For me... they are definitely worth the money...

My wedding was PERFECT and YES you do need them especially if you have a large BP, a large guest list, lots of detail and are doing different things.
