'Who are you wearing?'

Today my mother and I went to Kleinfelds for the first time to look at wedding dresses....I wasn't thrilled over any of the dresses. Can you tell me what designer you used for your gown, good things/bad things, website, price range... etc

It would be a huge help! Thanks! :)

I only went to one store-Wedding Salon of Manahsset. I tried on about 65 dresses. I eventually tried on the first one I saw and was skeptical they way it looked on the hanger, once I started to cry I knew that was it. My designer is Vera Wang...the hell with Diamonds..she is def a girls best friend!!!!

I answered you already through FM, but Maggie Sottero (and Sottero and Midgley) have some reasonably priced dresses. I paid 1200 total (with tax and everything) for my dress. I guess it all depends on what style you like...Maggie has a lot of ballgowns...not many mermaid or form fitting dresses.


Mine was a Maggie also, on the higher price end of Maggies at $1250 (but I got it for $1150)....Maggie does have some slim-a-lines (that's what mine was but I loved many of them!!


Mine is a Maggie Sottero dress as well. It's the IVY. YAY!

this is EXACTLY what happened to me. wedding salon and tears at vera!!

I bought my dress at Lillette's. It was a Rena Koh and was $1500.

Pronovias. They have a brand new store on 52nd street in nyc. I went to 8 or 9 places between LI and NYC. I just said which ever one I keep thinking about that will be the dress. It did make me cry. my dress was $1800 and alterations are included in the prices so you know exactly what the total cost is. they have you pay 1/3 when you buy it , 1/3 first fitting and final 1/3 when you pick it up so its pretty easy. good luck.
