I met with Park Ave. They are pretty established and do nice, basic photography. We almost booked them...but I got a weird creepy feeling.

My FSIL is booked with Park Ave and she LOVES them. I also met with another recent bride on here who used them and she was VERY happy with her pictures.

They offered 50% off for a December/ January wedding however just to have a photojournalism feel they cost an extra 1k ***

My friend used Park Ave in 2010 because they were a recommended vendor. Her pictures are beautiful but pretty generic, she did not pay extra for the photojournalistic feel though. I think she had Brian (who I think is the main photog/owner???), I thought he was a little annoying but my friend was very happy.

i've read that about park ave studio that there have been complains of them being rude, leaving early etc.

Our DOC have dealt with them a lot even though they give decent pricing they told me they tend to leave early, do cookie cutter shots, have missed the bride and groom cutting the cake. So I have heard things like that from people who have worked with them.

yeaaah... i'm probably not going to go with them... they're my 'recommended' vendor.. but I have a photograhper in mind that I am willing to pay for.

Your venue doesn't require you to book with their recommended vendors do they?

I can use whoever I want. These two vendors just offer a special package for booking and then I wouldn't have to pay for them to eat at the venue.
