I just finished World without end whcih is the kind of sequal to Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet. It was ok. I just started the latest Dean Koontz-the darkest evening of the year-so far so good. If you want scary I recommend either Intensity by Dean Koontz or It by Stephen King. Another really good, totally ovelooked book is The Tea Rose.

if you want light chick lit, something borrowed and something blue by emily griffith are really good books. if you want a great story, shadow of the wind is fantastic! i forget the author right now. the historian is also great!

This book was incredible...keep reading and enjoy! Very emotionally charged but also gave great insight on what it was like when the taliban came into afghanistan. Really interesting.

I agree! The book was so vivid and full of detail....the movie was okay, but just didn't do it justice. Way too many important themes and info left out.
I'd also recommend Life of Pi. Trust me, it starts a little slow but the ending was so good. My friend's gf got really excited when I started reading it and explained that she knew as soon as I finished I would be dying to talk to someone that read the book....she was right. The second I finished the book I called up my friend and was like soooo...me and eva (his gf) were talking about this book, and she's right, I really need to talk to her now.
I just started reading Lucky by Alice Sebold. So far, so good, but I'm not that far into. Very severe opening chapter though. Draws you right in.

I'm a big Stephen King fan too. I just got Lisey's story for my birthday.
