Re: who did a honeymoon registry?
My friend at work is setting one up through Liberty Travel but she is not registering for anything else just the Honeymoon so her shower will be a honeymoon shower.

Re: who did a honeymoon registry?
We did ours on Travelersjoy.com and it went great! Our friends and family had such a good time seeing our plans for our HM and we got about $2k in gifts from it. They just cut us a straight check when I was ready and ordered it.
If you want to see our registry, FM me and I'll send you the link.
It looks just like a regular registry when you're reading it, but the bride and groom make up all the descriptions, load in the photos, and create the prices. You just get cash in the end.
We also registered at BB&B. We got more from the HM registry though.

Re: who did a honeymoon registry?
It doesn't matter at all where your HM is booked. You're going to get a straight check from them in the end. You make up all the activities and all the costs. To your guests, it looks like a real registry. Only, you just get a check in the end and can do whatever you want with it.
For example, we 'registered' for tickets to the top of the Eiffel tower at $15 each (2). Someone bought them for us, so $30 went into our registry (the site does take a small percentage cut, but it's less than tax -- like 7% or something). We got the cash equivalent and never ended up going to the top of the Eiffel tower... but on their TY note, I mentioned how nice the Eiffel tower was.
My dad's cousin bought us our private cooking class in Paris, which was amazing and something I would never have ever done if someone hadn't flat out paid for it for us. It was $400 for a 6-hour market to kitchen to dining class. She was so excited because on her HM, she and her husband stomped grapes in Italy and she said it was one of the best experiences of her life. It was an amazing experience for us!

Re: who did a honeymoon registry?
I've been lookin into these as well. Most charge 7%...a few of the websites give you an option if you want the 7% to be charged to your guests (like if something on the registry is $100, they end up paying $107) OR some give you the option of 'charging' you the 7% (if someone buys you something for $100, you really only get $93).
Then there's honeyfund.com that doesn't take any percentage but the guest just prints out a message of what they would like you to put the money towards and then give you the cash themselves...the website never handles the money. I like that there's no charge but I don't like that the guests are just give you the cash or check...
