who did you take dress shopping with you?

i have so many people that want to come with me, but i think it will be to much. my mom, fmil, 2 sisters, all my bm's and my grandma want to come. how do i narrow it down?

My first time... I went with my mom and one of my bridesmaids. I did not enjoy it. Too many eyes one me the first time I ever tried on a gown. I continued to go to about 4 other places alone. I finally found my dress and invited my parents in to come and look. I came out and we all cried. I was happy that I made my decision alone.

i would love to go by myself, but i don't drive yet so i have to take at least one ot two people with me.

I found my dress when looking for BM dresses for my sis wedding. I took my FMIL to see it. I just ordered it and took my mom, sis and BM. FMIL didn't want to go. We also ordered BM's dresses then.

The first time i went i brought my BP (3 sisters) and it was too stressful. I ended up going again by myself and ended up getting mine. I felt more relaxed and at ease. All in all, i had a great time. Granted I didn't have any of them to give their opinion but i knew what i wanted and what looked good on me

My first time I took my best friend (MOH). When I found something I really wanted, I brought back my two sisters, my two cousins, my mom and two friends. LOL. It sounds like madness, but it was so much fun!

First time--2 friends
2nd time--My dad
3rd time--Mom, Grandma, and 2 sisters, and 1 brother-in-law

My whole family is in New Orleans, and they never get to see me plus I was only in town for 1 week (and had to get my dress during this week). I have to say that each time was special, and I am so happy that my family could share the day with me. It was one of the few times they could help me out w/anything. It's hard planning the wedding without them.

From my experience, the less the better-and get what YOU want!!!

I took my mom and his mom. It was nice. When the dress comes in I'll take my dad and my BM's.

I searched quite a bit. Each time it was a different combination. My Mom was there 99% of the time and my sisters took turns coming with us.

i think i'll take my fmil and mom the first time and when i find 'the one' i'll take everyone to show them. i just feel bad because eveyone wants to come and i know i won't be able to deal with it.

my best friend and i went. i think it was better just the two of us. sometimes too many opinions cloud your judgement. JMO

The first time I took my sister (MOH). When I picked 'the one' I brought my mom and my sister back to confirm that I made the right choice. They both loved it.

I was going to go with just my mom but my older brother was home from grad school for the weekend and tagged along. It was fun to get a male perspective
