We are inviting everyone 21and over with a guest... at least thats what we are thinking as of right now....

I posted earlier (anyone 18+ with a guest) and based on my experience...people generally come solo if they are not in a relationship. We had a table of single friends despite inviting everyone with a guest and it worked out perfectly!
A few years ago I was invited solo to a HS friend's wedding before we were engaged...she obviously didn't realize how 'serious' we were at the time...and honestly, it ******. I ended up not going (mostly because it was in DC)....it really felt kinda crappy to get a solo invite...and it made my now husband feel like crap too.

Because of how expensive our venue is, we invited only people in serious relationships with a guest.

we did the same. most of our freinds are all friends with eachother and all single- so we decided they prob wouldnt bring anyone (and still know a ton of ppl).
I have one or two that do not meet this rule but i am debating with +1 bc they do not know many others at the wedding
on a side note- one of my BM was saying how she wants to bring a random person which i think is rude- unless u are seriously dating and/or dont know anyone you prob should save the couple money! (my opinion)

okay so here is my problem... its not so much as a money issue AS OF NOW im not trying to limit people from having guests its just i dont know what to use as my garuntee... for those who i used your tips from to give a guest i have about 160 something and without the guests i have 130 something.. that makes or breaks garunteeing 125 or 150 which 150 im sure will get me a better brice... but i dont want to bank on them bringing a guest!

WOW i wish i had this problem. I need to cut the lists---- it keeps getting larger by both sides. I say have some friends who you are close with be able to bring dates as back ups. maybe let them know that last min they might be able to? hope this makes sense.

aww thanks. it is a dream of mine as well and i am grateful. but guest lists that doubles will also double our budget--- and considering FIL's are not paying- they better stopp adding people (sorry, my little vent) :)

I'll hold you to it! But i did go for a meeting with rick or whatever his name was... i even got the goody bag... he was soo nice and i told him im not made of money and he tried to set me up with a july 3rd 2012 date and helped that work into my budget (a little over!! haha) but certain family members are soo... opinionated!

Aww too bad- that is who i booked with. and i love him--- seriously lol. he is great and HONEST.
