When it comes to co-workers and bosses and managers, who do you invite? I don't want any bad feelings among the co-workers or partners that I invited one but not the other.
I assume that probably half of them will not splurge on a ticket to NY but uuughhh.....
How are you girls handling this? Which co-workers do you invite and which ones you dont??

I am definately inviting my boss, and one or two of the girls i am close with. Other than that im not sure if i will invite anyone else. Not sure what i will say to explain it tho..

I am only inviting the handful of people I am close with. My department is over 30 people so I cannot invite everyone plus their significant others.

I am in the same boat. My 2 bosses live in Florida, so I don't know if they will buy a ticket up here for the wedding and then there is everyone else. One of the guys is getting married and I dont think he is inviting me to his wedding, which is next year, but I was def not invited to his Engagement party (which is this weekend, So I guess I don't invite him to my wedding??? I dont know either.

we are inviting close work friends. for my fw that means maybe 3 people for me that means .... 20? + dates? eek!
she has a way bigger family so i dont feel bad. LOL

I'm just saying no to inviting anyone from work. I'm close with some people, but not all and I think it's just best to say to across the board. FH will invite a handful of people he works with that he's closest to but I don't think he's inviting his boss.

I'm in a fairly small office but couldn't afford to invite everyone. I invited my two bosses and my one co-worker who I am closest with.

This is so tough. Everyone keeps congratulating me and asking to take me to lunch and then they ask me when am I getting married and I keep avoiding them since 'you are not invited anyways' doesn't seem to be an appropriate answer! haha

this whole thing gives me knots in my stomach.
i hate the idea of inviting some, and not all. and putting those invited in a position to not talk about it. am so close with some though - would hate to not have them there.

thats my problem. I dont want to rely on the fact that even if I invite certain people out of necessity or to be nice, they wont travel to NY for the occassion. WHAT IF THEY DO??? and then im screwed!!!

I'm inviting my 'bosses' (family-owned business)- and two of my closest work friends and their husbands ...I had no way around it, I've been working there for too long!

I am close with one boss and not the other so I just invited one. As for co-workers just the people I actually hang out with outside of work and talk to the most. Everyone else at my job can go screw themselves.

I'm inviting my 3 bosses (it's a family business) and about 5 co-workers + boyfriends/husbands that I am close with outside of work.
It's amazing, I had one girl (who is NOT invited) say to me 'I'll just be happy if I get invited!' .... like, REALLY?? I just said 'Well, I have a big family & we were really looking to have a smaller wedding...'
I can't believe how many people act like this is just some night out on the town for someone's birthday. No dudes, it's a WEDDING costing a few grand. I'm sure once the wedding gets closer I'm going to have to say something to the people I didn't invite like, I wish I could invite every one, but it's impossible to do so.

totally agree! my favorite part is how many 'best friends' you discover at work who want an invite for what ever reason. best reason is 'oh i would love to see NY'.. and i say 'you should def go visit!'

I work for my family's business and had to invite everyone and their spouses....yeah, that added about 40 extra people.

I am inviting my whole office what kills me is the and guest part! I've worked there since I was 17 though and the office is on the smaller side but it adds 16 people to the forever growing guest list!

Ugghhhh there is a girl I work with who did the SAME thing. And she kept talking about it incessantly, just assuming she was invited, and not taking hints AT ALL when I said we were trying to keep it small. The funniest part about it... my sister thought I wanted to invite her and went out of her way to get the girl's address and invited her to my shower! So now I HAVE to invite her to the wedding!! FML!
