My parents say it's the maitre d' and the bridal attendant. Is that it? How much do they generally get?

Alison - our parents must be from the same generation. My dad only wants to tip the maitre'd and bridal attendent. He's never heard of tipping the dj, florist, or anyone else (and he has gone through 5 of his children's weddings already). I might tip the others if I feel they did an outstanding job that night!

We plan on tipping everyone: Maitr'd is $1-$3 pp florist DJ Photo Video Limo (if was exception, because you already pay tip)
It is wierd because you pay for their service...you expect top service. But I feel if they go above they deserve a tip.
for Lands End...I tipped the Maitre D and bridal asst
then also dj, florist, photo, video, limo (but really I didn't have to since they are owners and limo was included)

Wow, you tip EVERYONE?? I asked my parents this and they said we didn't need to b/c it's included in the contracts and $$ we are paying them...
how much did you tip the bridal asst at Land End, yabbo?

Maitr'd & bridal attendant florist(delivery guy) DJ Limo (if he was good)... also people say to tip the photo and video... but you dont see the end result until after the wedding..

You don't need to tip the florist, really! You do tip their delivery people $10-20 each though. It's not expected that a florist gets a tip-at all.
You do tip the dj/musicians, maitre'd, bridal asst., event coordinator, photographer, etc. It's not a 20% tip though, of course.

I am confused..how do you knwo how much to tip..I know the maitre 'd is 2-4 per person, I dont even know what a bridal assistant is...do I have one? If I do, how much do I tip? Do you tip the photographer and videographer if they own a business..and either way.is it 20% of the total bill? For example, if it is a 3,000 dollar package, do you tip 600? I am so lost with all of this and stressing about it. My florist is only bringing our bouquets, thats all we are using them for..excpet our centerpices are included in our reception package...would I sill tip them 10-20 per person to bring three bouquets? I am VERY confused..If anyone can giveme some good advice..I would REALLY appreciate it! Also, if you ahve a band,.hwo much do you tip each member?

At first, I was going to tip everyone... but now I have changed my mind. I will tip the maitre'd (and maybe the bridal assistant- is the bridal assistant considered a server and included in the 20% service charge? Does anyone know?). And I'll tip the flower delivery guys.
