Who do you want invited to your bacholerette party?

This was a discussions between me and FH and my bridesmaid and is Best man. FH is inviting groomsmen and his uncles to his and I absolutely love his aunt, we go drinking and hang out, but for a b-party i feel like others would get offfended. My bestfriend also wants to invite my mom, which i dont have a problem with, it's just that then his mom should be there then, and i dont want that. Should I just limit it to bridal party and some close friends?

basically my whole bp is under age! my plan is to round up as many girlfriends as i can for the bachelorette party. i am still conflicted over whether i want any representatives from fh's family there, ie his brother's wife, his cousins ,etc. i mean, i don't hang out with them on a regular basis, so why should the b-party be any different? on the other hand, i wouldn't want to offend anyone. i suppose we'll think about it more as the time nears...

Not having one. Friends live in different locations.

Basically any lady who is invited to the wedding an can hang until 4 am is invited to come. I see what you mean about Fh's mom. My mom likes going out, but it is not FMIL's scene. If you don't want to offend, I would limit it to close friends and BP. Do something special with your mom on another night.

i agree with angelbear...

i would do what you're most comfortable with...as cool as your mom may be, bps can get a little crazy!!

leave the mamas at home and spare the dramas

I've seen Mom's come for the first hour or so (Dad's too at bachelor parties) but as the festivities really get rolling, and to make sure the younger members have a good time, parents and older guests usually duck out early. I think that might be a good compromise.

I doubt I'll be having one, not really into it and my closests friends don't live here and have kids etc. I feel that my late night partying days are over and I just have no desire for it. Funny, my friends (mostly from work) that have been married the longest want me to have one. I think it's just an excuse so they can go out and party. I think I'd rather spend the money for a day at the spa with my MOH.

I gave my MOH's a list that included all of my girlfriends invited to the wedding-- and also two good guy friends of mine-- we are just doing a night of partying- no strippers.

I love that idea!! and I love London... but FH and his friends def would not give up another excuse to go to Vegas.

That's what I would do - I'm only inviting my best friends and bridal party. It start to get really complicated ometimes when you start to invite everyone. I have to much stress already.

Vegas was suggested, but I have been there for work and found it so incredibly depressing. He is going with the boys for a trip this winter so he can get it out of his system.

they have like a couple each year-- I have never been to Vegas, but I doubt I would be able to sustain that level of partying for more than 6 hours-- don't know how they go for days on end..

It is this weird surreal experience. Old ladies with walkers gambling, amusements parks, weird over the top shows -- just not my cup of tea. Plus it is HOT!!! Dry heat my tushy.

it is so expensive to go away, but i would love to go to florida with the ladies!!! as for people to go... i say the more the merrier!!!! i went on a bach party for my friend and she brought her mom... it wasn't so bad!!! i don't think you have to invite his mom to your party, unless you wanted to and you can hang out and drink and embarass yourself in front of her. i don't even want to do that in front of my mom, but it would be fun to see her drink!!!!!!!! that is if she would.!!!

I think we are going to also keep it to bridal party and some other close friends, just to keep it simple. Although, we are also going away so i dont even know if the girls that arent in the bridal party would be able to come. I dont want them to feel like its a financial burden, but i also dont want them to feel like they HAVE to go. I guess I'll just leave all the details to the BM's!!!

I am inviting my whole Bridal party, some other friends that weren't in the bridal party (ie. friends from school), my sister in laws, my sisters' friends, my mom and her friend.

I think my BP and I might separately go away for a weekend, not necessarily another b party for me but just a girls weekend the summer before my wedding. And then there will be that one sloppy night with all the girls.

And no way in a million years would I feel I had to invite my FMIL. That would even be a question in my head, no matter who I invite. She hates drinking, hates loud noises, and all that other stuff.
