Who does NOT like going to office holiday parties?

I see enough of these people all day why make me see them even more and after hours ! Bah humbug Mine is tomorrow night from 6-9pm. And I work in the city and live in NJ which means I will have to leave this dumb party by 730pm - get a cab and go from Downtown to Penn. I have to make the 902 train in order to make it home at a decent time.
aaahhhh
I know, i am a party pooper, But I am just not into it. I'd rather be home watching the OC and North Shore.

I have to say that I am not the least bit going to miss my previous employer's xmas party this year!!.....I used to work with this WHORE who had screwed 2 of the bosses while I was still there...who knows how many she's had by now!!
I sure don't miss the office drama!!!!

I had to go to mine last weekend and I dreaded it...not only cause i have to hang out with my co-workers on a saturday night but I had to plan it too! That night I was checking with the caterers and the bartender and I felt like I was working it...it sucked. I had corporate parties that you have to go to!

Since I hate my office, I didn't go to my office party last week. It was a no brainer
Call me a party pooper also, but I much rather go home and watch TV and relax.

I don't usually want to go to the company Xmas party either -- but I am now working at a company where I actually LIKE my co-workers How weird is that?!?!? I'm looking forward to hanging out with them!
As an outer borough chick, I feel your pain. Luckily, my company sends us home in towncars!!!!

Felicia, I am the SAME exact way! :) Unfortunately, our ofice party is an unspoken mandatory obligation. So if we don't go, we'll either hear it from our boss, or all the catty girls I work with would have something new to gossip about.
Mine was yesterday and I spent the time getting buzzed on wine with one of our new designers - who also doesn't like the whole office clique thing we so obviously have here! Everyone else stayed in their designated little 'group', one of them even said before the party started 'We should all call dibs on a table' !!!! UGH!!! Do people ever grow out of this?! It's like high school all over again, I swear... I was very happy to leave at 5 on the nose, and I went home and played with my puppy all night MUCH more fun!

It was actually kinda fun and I got to Penn on time. So not too bad.

i hate them too. i'm not going to mine this year because i hardly know anyone here and i have better things to do with my monday night. yeah monday, who has a party on monday??
