Just wondering if we had any people here that do weight watchers on their own?
Is it harder that way?
Danielle bought a scale this weekend and I was thinking of starting to weigh in at her house instead of paying someone $10 a week to do it. I dont go to the meetings at WW, I just weigh in and leave....Do you think I should keep going to WW, or do you think I should try weighing in at Danielles house?
I will stick with the plan, so thats not the problem for me. I am less that a pound away from goal now, and then I will have to be in maintanence for 6 weeks before I can become a lifetime member...
If I weigh in at home, I can take that $10 a week that I would give to WW and save it....Even though its only $10, it will add up after a few months....and that can go towards the wedding or our honeymoon....
What do you think?

Gosh Scott, you are so close I would keep going to be a lifetime member!! (That tittle is a great accomplishment!!).
I do weight watchers online. It is $14.95 a month which saves some money. I weigh in at home every monday morning (don't think I should do it today though...bad 4 days ) but I have been losing doing it at home. I like to pay for the online services though, because you can use there tools and recipes and ask questions when you have them.

I don't go to the meetings either or weigh-in with them. I weigh myself every Monday morning, although I'm only starting my third week. FSIL goes weekly, she keeps me motivated so it's not like I'm doing it all by myself.

I do it at home too and weigh in on Saturday mornings (since I feel like I weigh less then and I get a quick workout in before, don't ask... ) I think if you are that close to maintenance I think you can do it at home instead or on-line. Some people need the places to kick them in the butt or a great leader. I have lost 23 pounds doing it at home.

hmmm I wonder what that quick excersize is that you get in the morning.....lol.
Anyway....I dont know if I should keep going to weigh in and keep wasting that $10 or if I should just do it at home. I will still be tracking everything that I eat, and still eating healthy.
Im not going to do the online program because then I still have to pay. I do use the ww website but I use the forum that they have thats free. There is a great long island board under the staying local forum.

I dont weigh in..... but you are really close you should reach your goal. After you should weigh in at danielle's and if you gain you need to put 5 dollars in a jar and when you loose you can take out the 5 dollars. something like that.
if i gain i need to give my fh 5 dollars and i dont get it back

Hey Scott! I am talking about regular exercise, not what you had in mind! I was 'winking' because of my routine that I thought you would all laugh at being that I feel like I weigh less on a Saturday!
If you think you can do it, you will!

I dont know Scott you are so close. I would stick with it until you become a lifetime member. The Maint. part is tricky because you usually have to increase your points to reach a stabilized level.
I am only saying this because the last time I did WW I never went throught the formal maint. program with them and I eventually gained back everything I lost plus. Everyone is different and I am not suggesting that this will happen to you. Just something to think about.
Good Luck

I lost the 41 pounds on my own. I am pretty good about it. Maybe have Danielle weigh you so you feel like you have to answer to someone

If you don't go to the meeting you might as well save the $10. You already have all the brochures so there's not much else you can get out of it unless you need that accountability of weighing in in front of someone.
Cograts on being so close to goal!!!!!

At this point, I would just wait already til you are a lifetime member. It's only a few more weeks, then anytime you ever put weight back on in your life you can go back for free!!! I think that's totally worth it!!
ETA: If you don't want to go every week, you can also switch to the 'Liberty Plan' where you pay $13 a week, but only the weeks you go. Don't go for a month if you want. Save more money. In 5 weeks, go once and pay $13 instead of $50. $37 adds up.

I do it at home. I used to go to get weighed in and to the meetings but I already lost 15 pounds on my own at home.

Can I switch if I wanted to now? Do you think its even worth it now?

I wanted to add that my brother and his wife are also following WW, but they are kind of riding our coat tails, so to speak. We go to the meetings and bring them the materials. LOL.
