i think smashing the cake in either the bride or grooms face is very disrespectful and my FH would never do that... it's just rude.

I don't think there is etiquette but if FH pushes cake all over my face before OR after I feed him. He's going to wind up IN the cake. But he says he won't anyway.

at my friends wedding a cake fight broke out between bride and groom. it was intense! lol and her makeup/hair was ruined :(

i don't see why it's disrespectful. it seems fun and playful. but i guess it just depends on the person!!

yea if you state before that you dont want cake in your face and FH does it anyway its rude...also if you are the type of girl who will freak out having her makeup ruined, he should know better, but other than that if you are okay with it then its fine lol ( I WOULD BE PISSED HAHA)
