who else had problems getting to the city this morning?
Good morning everyone! DH and I got to the subway in Forest Hills this morning to discover that NO trains were running to Manhattan! I know that there were train suspensions all over the city, so I hope everyone made it in okay, or took a nice sick day and is staying warm and dry inside.
We decided to drive in, and surprisingly, hit NO traffic and actually arrived on time! Darn...I thought I'd have a short day

I took the bus in and then transferred to the train. I was waiting on the platform for 15 minutes and all the trains were backed up due to floods so I walked to work. Alot of people havent made it in yet.

My train usually gets to Penn at 8:06...today was 8:33. Then I waited about 25 minutes for a freakin subway. I usually get to work around 8:15...I got here at 9:10

FH said he had about 25 minute delays on the LIRR because of rail problems.

What is usually a 15 minute ride from Astoria on the N train was 1 hour and 45 minutes this morning due to flooding in the tunnel, signal problems, etc. I am still wringing out my clothes!

I was 45 minutes late. LIRR 3rd rail problems! At least I had a seat on the train!

All 3 of my trains were delayed. Its funny that there were problems on the N because there were problems on the 1/2/3/9 & they said to take the N/R.

had a 1/2 hr delay on LIRR and then waited for 15 minutes for a subway that I thought was never coming....

Took me 2 hrs and 20 minutes and it's normally 40. Jax - i should have come in with you, that's where i take the train from too!

Same for me however the subway never came and I had to walk. I got in an hour late!

I knew it was going to be a bad day when the conductor got on the PA system and said that the track looked like a 'train parking lot because the the third rail was underwater.'
Had to walk from Penn, not a big deal, but I'm still a little soggy.

Me too ... I ended up taking the LIRR from Forest Hills into Penn Station then to the E train .... I just walked in now!!! 10:23 ... only a 3 hour commute!!!!

I just want to know why you're awake and not still on your week off!
Took me an extra hour to come in. Had to take express bus as road to cross to get to Metro North train was flooded. He took Grand Concourse (bleh) down and then 5th Ave was a mess os he went over to Lex. Oh well at leaste I had a good book to read

I went out... saw massive delays that I have never seen before. I turned around and went back home. Screw that.
