Fh and I got to talking, and the home prices in this area is downright depressing.........We just have no desire to buy a house ANYTIME soon. We have a pretty sweet deal with our situation right now and see no reason to leave..anyone else feel like the whole homebuying this is not really pressing...

FH and I are just about to go to contract on land in PA and we are already in discussions with a builder. LI is just too expensive, we both make decent money and still can't afford much more than a condo out here.

we'd love to and feel that it is smarter financially to pay for a mortgage than rent, but with taxes, utility bills, things like lawn mowers, oil, etc etc, we are not ready and realize that.

We would like to own a home, but we can't do it. Not now, and maybe not until 2 years from now. Hopefully these crazy prices will go down. We both want career changes, and we agree that buying a house wouldn't be the smartest thing to do.

I just bought a house this was probably one of the biggest decisions we ever made I am excited and nervous all in one but we lucked out .....we bought my friends house in massapequa if I didn't know them there is no way I would have been ready knowing them has made it that much easier...You'll get the itch soon!

We're not getting a house anytime soon. I'm in the middle of a career change, not sure what town I'll eventually get a job in so we can't really make a decision about where to permanently live yet, plus the $$ factor, so we're waiting a while! Sorry for the run on sentence...lol

I cant wait to buy a house. I hate paying rent - even though it is so cheap here in Indy. We have a 2br/2br townhouse (1200) and we only pay $600 a month. After we get married we are moving to Ft. Lauderdale and we are probably going to by a condo. Prices on LI are outrageous - i dont know how you guys do it.
