My FH wants his mom to go with me to my first fitting tomorrow so i won't go alone since my mom is not that great with traveling into the city alone.
Did anyone elses FMIL see their dress before the big day? Just curious

Only my mom and 2 MOH cme for my 1st fitting. I'm really trying to NOT bring an entourage with me on these. Plus with the fitting, there's work to be done, I don't want to be entertaining people during it.
I say if its just you, your mom and your fmil go for it. Just don't bring too many people, trust me, its kind of overwhelming putting your dress on.

My FMIL was supposed to see my dress but I couldnt make an appointment that worked around her work schedule. I would have liked her there though
My mom, sister (MOH) and 2 BM have seen my dress.....thats it

The only person that went with me was my mom. But if your mom can't I don't see a problem fmil going. As long as she is not a chatter box...And it's a really nice way to bond with her.

My best friend came with me the first time and my MOH the second time...my mom just isn't into this stuff....soooooooooo I figured why bore her?
Also, FMIL lives far away from my fittings and doesn't drive on the highway soooooooooo she is out!

Take someone with you! You definitely want a second set of eyes to 'catch' things. It will be nice to bring FMIL- go for it If my Mom or MOH's couldn't come I would have brought mine.

Yes. My FMIL didn't see the dress when I first picked it out but she did go on the first fitting and actually went with me today to the second fitting today b/c my mom had to work and my moh is out of town. I love FMIL and try to include her in a lot b/c she doesn't have a daughter only 2 sons. HTH

FH has been to both and my mom went to one with him. I'd take FMIL for my final fitting though.

My mom and my FMIL went to both of my dress fittings.... I wanted them both there... my FMIL cried when she saw me was so emotional lol but soooooooo cute

I have only had one fitting and the MOH came.
If FMIL wanted to come I would have said fine. I love her and she only had one child, my FH. No daughters.
So she does not get the 'daughter' experience of a wedding. I want her to feel that she is included in everything!

sooo cute!!
i plan on bringing my mother and FMIL and mygrandmother.
also my MOH too bc she needs to learn my bustle. and one of my BM's REALLY wants to go and has been great with anything dress related... so i think she deserves to come.
so far that's it. but im open for people to come to give suggestions and help and support etc.

I brought my FMIL to view my dress the day I went back to make the purchase. I thought it was nice to include her just a little. But from this point forward, its just me and my mom!

Most likely it will be my MOH...mom lives out of town and don't really get along with FMIL.
Other than that, a few select people saw my dress initially.

My bridesmaids saw it when I first ordered it. My first fitting I took my mom, grandma and FMIL.

Just my mom and sister. My MIL lives too far away. I also had a friend and her mom see it while we were shopping for dresses. I saw her dress too. If you feel close with her or want to be closer, maybe it'd be nice to show her. I guess it depends on what kind of person she is... if you think she'd say something negative about it then don't bring her.

FMIL didn’t come with me but my mom, my grandma, my sister and 3 of my BMs all saw it at some point.
