My FH wants his mom to go with me to my first fitting tomorrow so i won't go alone since my mom is not that great with traveling into the city alone.
Did anyone elses FMIL see their dress before the big day? Just curious

Am I the only one who went alone?
I didnt do it because I didnt want anyone to see, it was just easier to go out to LI alone than schlep all the way around Queens to go to LI and then back again.

Since my fittings have been durning the week and I live in NJ and FMIL in LI, she hasn't been able to come. But I showed her a picture of it online, so she has seen my dress. I think having her come would be nice, I'm sure she would love to be a part of it.

I am only bringing my mom.. and maybe my sis (MOH).. but if my mom couldn't go I would def. have FMIL come with me.

I actually went by myself. My sister was with me the day I tried on the dress and bought it but I have gone to the fittings solo.

My MIL and SIL came with me. My mom lives in FL and my sis is in the city so my family didnt see the dress til the day of.

I was going to go alone but FH was like oh you shouldn't it would be nice to have someone there so he asked his mom since she gets out of work early...lol. I would prefer alone because i move faster alone.

My BMs all saw mine and my FMIL saw mine as well when i went to try on my dress when it came in....but I think I will go for my fittings by myself since it is during the week..... but if someone wanted to come with me I think that is fine

I had my mom and FMIL come with me for my first fitting, They will prob both come with me for the 2nd also....I thought it was my special to include FMIL also

FMIL wanted to come but I really wanted to share the experience with only my Mom and Sister. She had never said to me personally that she wanted to come, she told FH so I pretended like I didn't know she wanted to come and scheduled the appt for a convenient time for me, mom and sis, that just so happened to not be a convenient time for FMIL. I love her to death, but me, my Mom and Sister are REEEAAAALLLLLYYY close and wanted this to be a memory that only the 3 of us shared.

My FMIL and I have a good relationship, but she does drive me (and FH) crazy!!
Only my mom has come so far, and my girls will end up seeing when I go back since we made fitting appointments together.
Um, personally, my FMIL is waaaaaaaaaaay late to anything and everything- never on time for ANYTHING. So I haven't 'invited' her because my fittings are based around MY schedule- I like to go early and get it out of the way so the rest of my day can be spent accordingly, and she can't get up before 1pm. Plus, we live in Nassau, and my bridal shop is in Suffolk- so she'd probably want me to pick her up rather than meet me there..... again, she's never ready on time.
On a separate note, I hope she makes it to the wedding in time!!

my fmil saw me try it on once after a hair trial. other than that its only been my mom, sis & fmil that has seen it on me. my bm's only saw it on the mannequin

my fmil didnt see my fittings but saw a picture of my dress (thank you nasty family member who printed it and showed everyone)
I wouldnt have minded her coming though- i hated going alone the one time i did- i just felt too excited to not have someone with me lol

i tried to bring at LEAST one person with me so i didn't have a heart attack in case something was wrong, but i only brought my mom and sisters. even then i only brought them all the last time when the dress was pretty much done!

Oh yes...I showed my mother, my gram, and DH's mom. I wanted to put it on and model as much as possible...HAHA. Whomever you choose to see it is fine....have fun!
