St Lucia, i heard the ride from the airport to sandals is long and bad so i am interested if anyone took the helli.
I want to surprise my FH but i am scared

if you fly into the bigger airport then it is a long ride to the resort so a lot of people take a helocopter in stead of the long ride

yeah but i heard it was just a smaller plane that takes you not a helicopter.............are you sure?? i have never heard this before

Yeah there is a helicopter that picks you up at the bigger airport and takes you to the smaller one nearer to the sandals resorts. My friend took it, and really liked it. However it is a real helicopter so it's a bit scary!

wow thanks like i said i heard it was a small plane i dont know if i wanna go now if its a big helecopter..........you have to stop in san juan for that right??

no no that is totally different. If you are just doing a layover in san juan on a major airline than yes you will fly on a smaller plane to the smaller airport. If you are flying lets say direct from JFK to st. lucia (the larger airport) than you can either 1. take the sandals provided van to the resort or 2. pay for st. lucia helicopters (totally independent comapny) to take you to the smaller airport closer to Sandals grande etc. where you will then take a taxi over to the resort. No problem! Have been looking into it a lot because I get car sick easily and the van ride from the airport to the Grand is pretty long (1.5 hrs) so we are thinking about taking the helicopter instead (12 minute ride)

yeah maybe we will do it i bookmarked this page so i can look at the website tomorrow......if its not to much $$ maybe we will do that instead of the layver in sanjuan

I just got back from St. Lucia 2 weeks ago. I DEF. recommend the helicopter. I was so sick the whole ride from the airport to the hotel. We did the helicopter from the hotel back to the airport and it was so worth it. It was awesome and only 12 min.!!

I just booked my HM to st Lucia and never heard about the helicopter ride, but I def wanna surprize my fh with this. He would absolutely love it and it would be a nice surprize for him Thanks!!!
