I have to come up with a list for FH's dad of who is being invited. Now, I know the bridal party and our parents will be there, but who else?? I heard that proper etiquette is to invite out-of-town guests that are here. But, How am I supposed to know who is going to be here already?? I don't want to insult anyone but we have to draw the line somewhere. I am not going to call all out out of town guests to see if they will be here. I told my mom and dad to find out when close family members will be flying in to see if they are here. So, Am I right here? Just keep it to bridal party, parents, readers, spouses and possibly close family that will be here already?? Thanks!!

Yes, i think that's sounds good. I plan to do the same. The guest list would be ridiculous if we invited all out-of-town guests. Keep it to close OOT family members.

we're inviting our parents, grandparents, bridal party (with dates) and our reader. i think we're also going to be inviting the officiant, not sure with a wife or not though.....

Immediate family, BP, whomever is officiating and their spouse if they are local and invited to the wedding, out of towners that you know will be there. For any slow to respond out of towners, you can either send a letter without their response or have the invite delivered to their hotel room when they arrive!!

we are inviting the bp and spouses ( no dates) parents and the officient . keeping it to just who actually has to be there. personally i never heard of this having to invite out of town guests and we arent doing it -

I have read in several places that you DID have to invite out of towners!! We already have such a large group coming! Yikes!
