the shower is given by her mom?

Personally, I don't like corsages. I didn't have one and wouldn't give one to a bride at her shower. Our moms are going to carry flowers instead of corsages at our wedding.

I am not sure who buys the corsage, but at all of the showers I have been to, the groom usually brings the bride into the place. Pins the corsage on her( or puts it on her wrist), smiles and says something charming, kisses her goodbye and tells her he will be back in a few hours to load up the goods.

So to answer part of your question: the groom puts it on her.

I don't really understand...when the bride shows up someone hands her the corsage. If her mom is throwing the shower, than she should have bought it for her...the first few times I threw a shower we forgot to get corsages at all.

One shower I went to that the bride-to-be had a corsage she had it on before we knew it. Nothing big was done to give it to her or it was put on by someone in specific. I think her mom gave her the box and she put it on herself.

Totally optional I think. For my FSIL she bought her own.....she thought is was her sisiter's surprise birthday party and the corsage was going to the sister...the joke was on her when we took it and pinned it on her

when i walked in, my FH was holding 2 dozen roses for me in an arrangement & he also bought (& put on) my corsage...so pretty!!!! ( i love flowers & corsages!!)

he even bought corsages for my mom, grandmother & his mom too...
