We will be attending Christmas Eve. My fondest dream is for all our kids to attend at the same time, but it's never worked out that way so far. Debi and Fred will be going to Long Island over Christmas, and our other Daughter and Grandson, will be attending a later service. Mary MOB

8 am i'll be in church on x-mas day.... but we gotta get there earlier to 'get good seats' lol that cracks me up
haha that is what my mom says! she is too funny. she says its because all the non church goers who are finally coming to church on a holiday are taking all the good seats...she is funny my mom...
(hope that doesnt offend anyone- my family just goes to church every sunday so my mom always feel the need to say that every year bec our church gets super crowded on the holidays and more than 1/2 the people that are in the front of the congregation do not know what they are doing or are dressed in jeans and sneakers with hats on and it is unfair my mom feels to those who attend church every sunday to be placed in the back not beign able to see everything or even hear everything) lol

I have never been to church on xmas eve (dec 24). I have only been to church on the old calendar's xmas eve, and it goes on til the wee hours.
I'm not Catholic so I've never been to midnight mass. My church has a 10pm service that ends at 11pm so it's not that bad.
Im not Catholic either.

I really should.. I think I may this year I went every year since I was a baby but these days since i'm working on sundays I dont have time to go to church.. so i definitely should go~

i never said they didnt, (like your mom) it also annoys me when people make it a 'tradition' to go to church on christmas eve, not because i dont 'get a good seat' but because people think theyre being good christians by going to church on christmas and easter but not giving one hour per week to attend mass and i just think thats wrong. either put youre all into it or dont do it at all.

I am not even catholic, i do it bc fh's family asks me to go and i go to celebrate with them.

I never used to with my family but since FH and I have been together, I go every Christmas Eve with his family, then dinner. It is actually a pretty nice tradition

I do attend for both christmas eve and christmas day. But we go every sunday, I'm on the trustee's board, and my brothers and I were in the chorus all growing up. I loove the midnight service though, its so gorgeous with all the candles lit!

I can go to church when I please, once a year, twice a year, for xmas, easter etc, whenever, whatever!!! I am still a good Christian. You dont have to go everyday to be a good person, you can go only for holidays and you can still be a good person

fh and i try to go to midnight mass. but usually we are too tired or one of us is sick. i enjoy midnight mass.

I totally agree! My first couple of years in college I didn't go, only went on holidays, and I don't think that made me a bad Christian, some people don't need to attend church to feel connected to god. JMHO..
