I am so undecided on what exactly FH and I should do for our HM. He really doesn't care what we do as long as we are together. Awwwww...how sweet!
Anyway, I was thinking maybe a cruise. I have never been on a cruise. I don't want to get seasick. I am always worried about something.
What do you think?????
TIA!!!!

I love cruises. I've probably been on about 8. I got FH into cruises as well, and now he's hooked! Do you have a particular one in mind?

I have been on many cruises. My favorite has been to Bermuda. It's just beautiful there. Since I have been on many cruises, FI and I are thinking Sandals St.Lucia or Bahamas.

I was thinking of going to Bermuda. Instead of flying take a cruise.

I love cruises too and FH and I have been on one together on carnival, but JMO I wouldn't go on carnival for a honeymoon. The one we were on went to cozumel and a few other islands and it was packed with kids, there were 20 min lines for the buffets and we had to get up at like 7am to get 2 chairs together by the pool. But, if you do go definitely get a room w/ a balcony... it's worth it. I'd recommend Princess cruises, i haven't been on them, but I heard there are less kids and nicer ships.

Re: Who has been on a CRUISE???
For my sisters HM she went on royal carribean out of spain. She flew to Barcelona and then cruised the almafi coast..stopping in diff. places in Italy and the french riviera...she said it was amazing!!!!!
I have been on two carribean cruises...they were wonderful. I felt sick one night but took some over the counter medicine and felt fine.
One thing you should consider is how you will be on one ship for x days. I had a friend who was a bit stir crazy and felt too confined with the thought of being in the middle of the sea. I took it the opposite...it was beautiful sitting on the deck and relaxing......
Good luck! Let me know if you need more info...I'm bored Oprah is a repeat!!!:)

That was one of the ideas we had a cruise to Bermuda. Sandals Bahamas was another choice.
Do you think I can just wear one of those bracelet thingys so I don't get sick? I never got ill on a boat I just am worried that I am going to be on their for a long period of time.

i love cruises! I have been on 3 so far..will do more in the future without a doubt!
there are pills you can take- such as Bonine which doesnt make you drowsy and you can still drink with it.... take 1 a day in the am and you never even get a chance to feel sick- but i have to tell you, it is the best experience! you see all different places, the food is terrific! the entertainment is right there for you!
i went on one royal caribbean , 1 princess, and 1 carnival- royal is the best in my opinion, it is a mix of ages, the food is top notch, the entertainment is geared to the 20-30s i loved it, carnival was fun, we went for new years eve and it was great, but the food imo wasnt as good as royal and a lot of kids, princess the food was the best by far, but an older crowd, and a bit 'stuffier' so to say!

Yeah, a lot of people wear those bracelets. They also give out those pills at the front desk on the ship. You should be fine. You will have a great time. Just don't think about getting sick!!

I want to go to Bermuda. Maybe I should just fly.
Have you ever been to Bermuda?

Re: Who has been on a CRUISE???
I love cruises and I was really paranoid about getting sea sick for my first one but I was fine. You can talk to your doctor and maybe get a patch or something, but my brothers girlfriend got double vision from one. She was probably the 1 in a thousand that get that side effect, but I felt bad.
Anyway, if you get the sea sick idea out of your head you will have a great time! I've been on Celebrity, Norwegian and Crystal. I didn't really like Norwegian but am a big Celebrity fan. Cruises are a great deal too since they include great food along with your room. Just keep in mind that any soda and alcoholic beverages are extra.

Re: Who has been on a CRUISE???
I don't think you should worry..someone posted before about BONINE that't what i used and out of the two cruises I only needed it once...Bermuda would probably be nice..you should speak to the girls who went, my understanding is that you sail there..dock at one part..stay a day or two and then sail to another part of bermuda, where you stay for a bit..so it is probably less sailing then other itineraries...I heard Bermuda is beautiful!

Re: Who has been on a CRUISE???
We just got back from a cruise to the Bahamas... it was nice, but i dont think it would be something i would want to do for a honeymoon... i think cruises are fun with a big group of people... i LOVED getting off the ship and going into the different ports...that was my favorite part... i guess i got a bit bored while being 'stuck' on the ship...

I agree. I wouldn't go on a cruise for my honeymoon - I think I would want to be in one place. Cruises are boring for me. I have been on a few...they are very cost-effective though (food and excursions and ports - you get to see and do a lot for cheap)!

Re: Who has been on a CRUISE???
I just figured going on a cruise would be cheaper. But I'm going to go check out more of the hotels in Bermuda.
