I am so undecided on what exactly FH and I should do for our HM. He really doesn't care what we do as long as we are together. Awwwww...how sweet!
Anyway, I was thinking maybe a cruise. I have never been on a cruise. I don't want to get seasick. I am always worried about something.
What do you think?????

Bermuda was by far my favorite cruise. You don't have to fly, so when the ship docks, you're home.

last month i went to a 7 day Carribean cruise. I had so much fun. I'm hoping to go on one soon....hopefully my honeymoon. not sure yet though. You will have a great time. so much to do there it's great.

I agree. I wouldn't go on a cruise for my honeymoon - I think I would want to be in one place. Cruises are boring for me. I have been on a few...they are very cost-effective though (food and excursions and ports - you get to see and do a lot for cheap)!
Me too! Glad I am not the only one! I actually may never go on one again again! I hated it! They herded you of the boat like cattle and then you had to rush to do everything once you got to port! And then you had to be back on the boat!
Thank GOD!!! I thought I was the only bozo that wasn't 100% crazy about cruises... when i got back everyone was asking me how it was and I would say 'ok' and they looked at me like i was insane since i wasnt saying how awesome it was!!

I have been on 11 cruises and I can say some cruises are better then others. I love cruises!!!!!!! I have decided to to just go to an island for my HM though. I wanted to do something different then I usually do. Bermuda is great, you will love it there. If you do a cruise to Bermuda, be careful what boat you go on. You do not want to go on the Norweian boat. The boat that goes their is too small and not fancy enough for a HM. I love Celebrity cruises but, I am pretty sure one of their older boats sail to Bermuda. Look into Royal Caribeean, I think they have a new boat that sails out of Bayonne New Jersey down to Bermuda.
If you choose any cruise line for your HM, go for Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Princess, or Holland America.

anything away is cool with me. I have done both. But when I went on a cruise it was not with FH. I perfer an all inclusive place on the carribbean rather than a cruise. FH has never done a cruise so for our honeymoon, i wanted him to experience it, although cruises are not my favorite. But who knows, going with him I might love the cruise after all. Anywhere with him, I am my happiest!!!

The best hotels in Bermuda seem to be The Reefs, Elbow Beach, and the Southampton (which is really expensive). Would you ever consider Aruba? That is were I am going. I got scared of the raininy season in June. It really is not that pricey, and they have a dine around program. It gives you a set price for the two of you, and about 30 different restaurants to choose from everynight.

We're thinking about going on a cruise fo rour honeymoon also. there's one that leave the dya after our wedding that goes to St Thomas, Tortola and the DOminican republic. That's the one I'm eyeing...It's NCL...I just got the brochure today! If you go to the website (I think its www.ncl.com yo can sign you can request brochures and they will send them to you. I also have brochures from Royal Caribean I think. ETA: I actually like hte idea of visiting all of the porst on our honeymoon. My fiance isn't much of a sit on the beach person so I think it will be fun to tour the islands and stuff like that.

I've been on one cruise. I wasn't my choice to go - we went as a fmaily reunion thing. I would never go on one again. The only thing I liked about the cruise was that we were there with about 20 people, so, despite the crowds, we had stuff to do on the boat (ie: find a bar and drink, ha ha). I HATED that you only had a few hours at each port. I'm more of a 'stick in one place for a while and get to know it' kinda girl, I guess. Also, the boat was full of teenagers running around trying to make out with each other. The pools were like human soup they were so full all the time, and the cafeterias were always packed. It was almost impossible to get a chair on the decks. I also didn't like that we had to eat dinner at a specific time every night, hungry or not. I went on royal carribean.
Maybe I'm just not a cruise person, but I would never go on one again, except maybe to Alaska.

i enjoyed my first cruise to bermuda on rc's royal empress a couple years back and that was an older ship. i am looking forward to my cruise this sunday (yay!) on ncl's dawn (with 10 restaurants and freestyle dining its much diffferent than my first cruise) to fl and bahamas. my only cruise gripe is the time spent at ports are too short. it is very cost effective though! i don't see anything wrong doing a cruise for your honeymoon, though i would do a freestyle cruise (ncl) rather than assigned times and tables for dinner bc you'll want to enjoy eachothers company, not strangers on your honeymoon! ~lacey

I LOVE cruises! I went on my first in 2002 & was so scared that I was going to get seasick! We left from NY to Bermuda & we hit some ROUGH seas...Never got sick! Barely felt the boat moving.
FH & I were originally not going to take a cruise for our HM but after researching, it was the best value for our money. All your meals & then some are paid for, you only have to pay for drinks & excursions. So we decided to do a 10 day Eastern Caribbean Cruise out of NY.
In my opinion, a cruise is just as good as an all inclusive resort. FH & I are not heavy drinkers, but still drink on vacations. When we went to Bermuda, we spend $1000 extra on the ship & that was drinks (everyday by the pool & dinner), snorkeling excrusion, profession picture (waste of money), bingo & some gifts. I think we did pretty good!

I went to Bermuda for 7 days outta NY and 4 days to mexico out of ft laud.
You should be ok on the ship..i get carsick and airsick and iwas ok on the ship. I took Boenine every day...i think that helped me
ONE KEY THING IF U FEEL SICK DO NOT GO BACK TO YOUR ROOM! Go to the top deck and stare at the horizon!
But i am sure you will be fine

We're going on a 12 night Med. Cruise for our HM. We went on a smaller cruise last year and loved it!!! Some people got sea sick, but they can give you a shot that takes it away/
