Who has better food - Venetian YC or Chateau la Mer??

I've never been to VYC so I can't comment on them, but the food at CLM is phenomenal!!!!! Our guests are STILL talking about how amazing the cocktail hour was and even though they were stuffed from that they all said they HAD to eat the dinner b/c it was so good!

We loved that CLM holds your date until you do a tasting... honestly (even though we were pretty much sold already) the tasting is what sold us on having our wedding there. Amazing food!

i only know VYC when it was JA's and the food was great but i know there was a change of hands since then so i have no idea how the food is

but as u can see I am partial to CLM
THeir foos was the best out of all the catering halls we went to

this is a ticking time bomb question lol...as im sure each bride getting married at these places will have their own opinion but im not getting married at either place, so im not biased...both places are great..i did however prefer VYC..i went to 2 weddings and easter dinner at CLM and had 'so-so' experiences..dinner was served very late because of a few mistakes, and i found the waitstaff on easter to be terrible (not a wedding, but it made an impression on me)...
i went to 2 weddings at VYC also, and both were actually amazing...and i wasnt even very close with the couples who got married there, so it wasnt just fun because they were my friends lol, they were coworkers of FH...the food was delicious both times...
im sure everyone has had different experiences on both, but you asked for an opinion, so thats mine...
BUT keep in mind...opinions are like belly buttons everyone has one ;)
didnt mean to offend anyone i think both are nice choices!!

I maybe biased since I had my wedding there, but I preferred the VYC. The CH was insane , there was so much food. They are still talking about the Seafood Boat.

I went to CLM for my bachlorette party..it was Tony & Tina's Wedding. I have to say I was shocked b/c the food was not that good. I know that everyone raves about their food, so I guess they didn't give us their 'prime' stuff or something, I have no idea, but it bothered me that it would be different b/c in the end their reputation suffers for it, IMO...and the above post sort of confirms this for me.

I'm just mentioning this b/c I know my hall mentioned they serve the 'same' food..whether you're eating in the restaurant, at a wedding, or a smaller function and I think that's the way it should be!

BUT for a wedding I think you would be fine based on the nothing but raves I've seen on this board for CLM.

I got married at CLM and I dont think there has been one complaint from bride on this site about ANYTHING.

The food was outstanding and our guests really enjoyed themsleves. Check out my review for more info.

Guys feel free to read my review on CLM also. Guests are still talking about the food & the service. You'll have (at least one) tasting at CLM & can see for yourself. I can't say enough great things about it

It's interesting to see others saying the food isn't that good....we went to a wedding there and quite frankly, we just weren't impressed. We ate enough to not look like snobs and then scarfed down food at my MIL's later....they looked at us like we were total pigs b/c they thought we'd eaten all day...but really, we didn't like the food that much. We actually used the 'I just got a phone call' bit [i called him from the bathroom] and left during the meal!

Wow.. well no offense but Im glad that I didnt have any guests pull that 'bit' as I paid quite a bit of money for them to be there to share my day with me....to each his own though.

I think the only fair way to answer this question in the original post is if a person has actually been to a function at BOTH locations. Otherwise, it is not fair to make a comparison regardless of how wonderful or lousy the food may have been.

wow, i mean i didnt love the food but i could NEVER do that to someone...im sure alot of places have had an 'off' day...
either way, hungry or not, ya cant just get up and leave during dinner!?..id be so pissed if WM had a bad day, and then someone actually walked out of the meal..eh i knew this original post was gonna get offensive somewhere down the road
