Re: Who has had a yard sale?
we sold everything from toys, to videotapes, to candles..nothing was priced over 3 bucks...we had a bunch of my DH's old cassette tapes, and we sold those for .25 each, or 5/$1.00...those went like hotcakes!!

So everything should be cheap? Even good stuff?

I would say make everything relatively cheap...but it depends on what you're looking to sell...I sold a loveseat/couch/table set for $200 at a yard sale once. I also sold a stereo for $20. It really depends on what it is, but be willing to negotiate. You can usually tell if you've overpriced because a ton of people will look at the item, but then won't bite...

Yes, but don't rip yourself off. If something is in good shape or really worth something price it honestly.

Hmm ... maybe I'll take *inventory* of what we'll put out and think about prices.

Re: Who has had a yard sale?
You might be able to get a better price on good stuff from ebay. At yeard sales people usualyl don't want to spend more than $5, but people on ebay shop for all kinds fo stuff. Doug just made a little bit of a profit on some disney collectible DVDs he bought ahead and knew they'd be worth $$, and also on these game promo discs he got for free. He got $47 for one of them...and he got it for FREE
