We're meeting with Paul Marino, Michael O'Neill, Imagine Studios, Patken, Hal Lyman & Ziba Film. Who else do you have on your list? And who are you thinking about meeting with for video? I'm very interested in the new concept of video editing called Short Form Edit. Thanks!

Who has met with Hal Lyman w/fullview photovideo?
Hi all - I'd like to throw in my 2 cents and recommend a photographer to you. He does not have a large studio, but he does absolutely beautiful work and he is very easy to work with. He has done 4 weddings in my family already and he is doing our wedding on June 24th. I think his prices are very reasonable, and more important - his work is WONDERFUL! His name is Philip Manganaro and he's located in Center Moriches, NY (Southeastern part of LI). His # is 631-878-4930

Hi, I think you've mentioned him. Well, I think someone did. Anyway, could you give me an example of his prices and what his packages include? Thanks!

Does Philip Manganaro have a studio in Center Moriches or does he work out of his home? Just curious, because I too live in Center Moriches and I'm looking for a photographer! Thanks!!

We met with him. Nice guy, prices are on the high side. Good work, he depends alot on what you want and does not really offer enough guidance. He suggests you shop around before going to see him. Others Ive seen: Cassarino (great work, market prices) Bart Stevens (family ran, been around a long time and creative) Glen Mar (been around good work but i hear bad video) Going to see Patken this week I think there's a show case at Jericho Terrace in Mineola

I am just in the process of researching videographers..I looked at Multi Media, excellent work, but a bit high, he does do short form editing..but very $$$ I have called Wildrose, CO, Platinum, T&T, Premiere and plan to call LCA..am getting prices from 1,200 -2,000. keep me posted on your photographer/video search. I will do the same!!

Hi, I'll definitely keep you posted. I have only spoken to LCA and Premiere Video. LCA Video gave me a price, well it's a special of the Short Form Edit Video, with the unedited version on VHS and 3 DVD's for $1,795. It only includes the Ceremony and Reception. Do you think that's enough for the video or should you have the Bride and Groom getting ready??? Did any of the other companies that you looked into have Short Form Edit? Let me know what you think. Thanks again!!!

most companies that i spoke with do the ceremony and recept..I think that is all I want, I dont need to watch me getting ready at the house..but I am sure you could ask the video people to show up at your house if that is what you want. Also..I forgot to tell you who else we are looking at for photographers..pretty much the same as you..plus John from VIP studios, Sherwood, Rick & Co is reasonable, so we might check them out..maybe proline and laurie studios..but eventually i want to narrow our list down to 5 or so and just check that many out..and choose after we go to their studios..

I can give you an example of some of Phil's photo prices and packages, but I only have an old price list. We booked him so long ago that I don't have any of his updated paperwork. We are getting a bridal album with 36 8X10's (with the option to mix in 5X7's on the 36 mounting surfaces in the album), 2 wing style folios for our parents (they include 4 - 5X7's and 1 8 X10), 1 - 16X20 (or 2 - 11X14's), 50 thank you cards and pics, and all proofs in an album. The bridal album is engraved with our names and a cameo photo appears on the front cover. Phil does complete coverage from my house 2 hours before the ceremony through the entire reception. This package is costing us $1215.00 (Remember those are two years old, so if you are booking now it will most likely be a little more expensive). Phil will custom tailor any package he has for you. The 1999 price list that I have has packages ranging from $1095.00 - $1850.00 (based on the style of the album you want, whether or not you want parent albums or wing folios, and how many surfaces you want in your bridal album). Hope this info helps for anyone looking for a great photographer.

LisaK - Phil has a studio out of his home in Center Moriches. The basement of his house is converted into his studio.

I booked Hal Lyman!
He definitely let`s you do whatever you want and since I am a control freak it works great for me! He is laid back, does great creative work and prices are reasonable especially if you show a lot of interest and express that price is an issue (you can add things to packages for no additional cost, etc). I absolutely wanted two photographers and he was the most reasonable. I have 2 other friends that have also booked him. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Jennifer A. - I booked Hal Lyman!
Hi, I'll be meeting with him this coming week. Would you mind telling me how much your package cost, and what it includes??? Even a ball park range would work. I told him I can't spend a fortune so money is an issue with us, so he said he could work out something so we could afford it. Let me know, thanks so much!!!Welcome New Vendors
