Marlboro Ultra Lights....but I will be trying to quit soon.

Awww...

Not to worry...I know it sounds weird, being a smoker and all....but I hate the smell as well....But I am not soo addicted that I could not give it up for one night with my gals

i used to smoke newport lights for YEARS...i quit 16 months ago

nope! Smoking drives me absolutely nuts! Especially rude smokers who stand right in the doorway to the building so you have no choice but to walk through their smoke to get inside...

(sorry, there are a lot of those where I work/go to school... I find it so rude!)

I have so much respect for people trying to quit though... I remember when my grandpa had to quit (he had to have heart surgery, and the doctors basically told him that if he wanted to see his grandkids grow up, he'd better quit and start exercising. Talk about motivation!). He chewed a LOT of gum for a while there!

I promise I'm not one of those people. Like I said...for some odd reason..if I'm not smoking...I hate to smell the smoke! It is pretty gross. And yes...there are a ton of inconsiderate smokers out there!

Quitting is hard...but I will do it. I need to find something. I'm afraid to gain weight. I'm not one of these weight obsessed people..but for the first time in my life I am doing a diet that works and seeing results. I always hear stories about people gaining weight when they quit. Although...I'm sure thats a better alternative to lung cancer...I need to get this ball movin!

And I wasn't implying that anybody here was one of those people... for every rude smoker out there, there's another good considerate one! FH's mom smokes, and although I hate when she does, she's always pretty good about it - won't even smoke in her own house, she always goes outside to smoke, because nobody else in the house is a smoker.

Nina, sorry I'm all over here, but FH quit by using COMMIT, the little lozengers, he had tried to quit cold turkey 3x w/ no luck & this really worked. He had 1 cig since Jan when he quit & he said he actually hates the smell now & he tried a cigar 2 wks ago & it made him sick (something he used to enjoy).

nina u can sooo do it!!i wuit cold turkey b/c i got sick and the smoking was giving me such bad asthma i got scared....what i did was i went online and printed out all the bad things smoking does and the timelines of how your body changes and gets better once you quit..i taped them all over my house and whenever i wanted one i read what it would do to me(basically did it to freak myself out) and presto i quit...its very hard tho, i heard the patch is good too and the gum tastes horrible
