ALIKING and I were just discussing this? Is it your Bridal Party or the Bridal Party and MOB, or MOB and MOH? We're confused! As some of you know from an earlier post of mine today, my MOH is my slacker sister and she is about to get demoted from the position!

My sister (MOH), mom, best friend (who is doing a reading) and his daughter (10yo) are doing it together.

MOH... sometimes MOH and bridesmaids....sometimes the mother of bride pays for it

My mom paid for mine and my bridal party came up with the games to play at the shower and they bought the prizes to give out.

Are you asking who pays for it or who HOSTS it?
Ettiquite (sp?) says that a family member is not supposed to host it because basically a family member should not be asking for people to give you gifts so techinically hte BP should HOST it!
But I think in most cases the Brides mom pays for it with the BP chipping in for stuff (cake, favors, flowers etc)

My mom in TX threw me one in TX and my FMIL said she would throw one for me here in NY since all but one bridal party member live in TX. It's 35 days til my wedding and My NY shower still hasn't happened. I guess I am not having one. Rude! My friends in NY were looking forward to it. I know it's not planned b/c she doesn't have my guest list. Hopefully, I will be wrong about the whole thing and I will have to write back to tell you what a wonderful time I had at my NY Shower. Hee Hee

Usually the MOH & your mom/grandma.. or whomever is there with you.
Sorry about your sister. I was having problems with mine as well, but we are down to the wire & she is really doing it all for me & then some. Maybe she'll come around!

some mothers of the brides pay for it and the bm's chip in. some bm's pay for it and the mother of the bride chips in. depends on who starts the ball rolling i guess? my mother is deceased so my bm's and moh are paying for mine (that is if i'm having one..haha)

I think my MOH and stepMOB are hosting and paying for it....the BP may or may not be chipping in...I'm in the dark on this one
