FH's family is and they could care less about sending invites, so I am going to.

FH parents are hosting. they just finished all the leg work and booked with little input from me. which i was happy about...i have enough things to do!

fh's parents, but we did a lot of the leg work, invitations, etc.

My FILs had our dinner, and they did a great job!! Everyone loved it.

obviously i have way too much time for this

but i dont think FH's parents know this is their 'thing' and i dont know how to mention it to them! FH won't mention it either. . .

I cant even think of a way to say it. . . his brother didnt have one. . .i keep trying to figure out a way to say

'OH my friend's fiance's parents just threw the NICEST rehearsal dinner for them' he he but they know like none of my friends are getting married right now. . .

obviously they dont HAVE to do anything - but i know them and if they know this is the tradition they would probably be happy to do it!

so most likely it will be us. . . RD at McD's anyone??

Well. Ours was a freakin nightmare.

DH's mom was crying poverty, so she wanted everyone to pay for themselves (b/c DH's sister did this when she got married not too long ago). My family, DH and I freaked about this. She came down about it, but said she couldn't afford the whole th ing. So, DH and I paid for about 1/3 of it. I didn't think it was fair to let my parents pay, since they paid for the whole wedding.

It doesn't sound that bad, but it really was a nightmare!

Our parents split the cost.
We didn't do invites or anything, just called and told everyone.

me and FH are doing it ourself, do the rehearsal at the club then back to my house for food, zitti sau. pep. very low key very italian food this way we have more money to spen on the wedding and our BP, good luck with asking i tryed FH dad didnt like it and it dosent help that his parents are divorced and not on good terms....

My DH's parents planned and paid for it...It was great because all I had to do was show up!


Same here, although I made up my own invations and sent them out.
