its 15 for the first bag. If you have gold or above status, there is no fee. Also, book before june 15th and you wont be charged, and if its business or first class - no fee.

I am but we booked our flights in January- so we are fine thank god! I hope all the other airlines dont go to this- I would rather they add it to the ticket- I fly a lot for business & I am sure that they wont allow us to expense the per bag charge.

We are flying AA but we booked back in February AND we're flying International so it doesn't apply.

I called to check on this yesterday. If you are flying first class it doesnt apply. You are your FH are each allowed to check two bags (4 total) free of charge but if you have a 5th bag its $100.00 perbag. Im sure no one here is bring 5 bags though.
Hope this might help some of you. FH and I are flying first class for the first time in our lives so we lucked out.

I was angry too but we are all suffering from the high gas prices....think this is their way of recuperating (what's our way?!!! Don't get me started LOL)...we're flying them but we booked already so we don't have to pay. But FH and I both have AA airmiles and we'll probably be paying in the future....
