Pay for the wedding??

Hub and i are doing 95% of it alone.. mom is going to buy my dress and pay for Limo's

has anyone set a budget?? and how are u planning to save for it??

we have a 45k budget ( ouch) but we also have 2 kids in private school 2 car notes and other expenses which is why we chose to 2013 and not 2012!!!! I cant stand to be stressed out over money !! UGHHHH hate it

I hear you...that the reason why and FH and i picked 2013 b/c of money...we are paying for it as well...we are getting help from the parents but i dunno how much so right now we are seeing different vendors and trying to come up with a budget ...its hard b/c i only have a part time job ..im in school that makes it worse but im hoping to get a full time to job so im not so stress out

I hear u.. good thing is u have time!! and there are many ways to have a beautful wedding without breaking the pockets.. thats what we are all here for

FH and I are paying for 100% of it and mannnn it's tough!! We originally set the date for 2012, but had to postpone due to money issues. I'm trying every which way to make this wedding as beautiful as possible w/o going into complete debt. FH is already working 7 days a week- I work FT but have a 5yr old daughter from a previous relationship, so I can only do so much. It's hard!

Were also paying for the wedding ourselves, and a main reason why we picked 2013. We really dont have a 'budget', but that might come and kick us in the butt

FH and I are doing 100% of it ourselves and I'm with the rest of you that it's TOUGH! We were renting a whole house and actually had to move to something smaller just to save that much more money (which is actually working out nicely). I feel like I need to set a budget because every week I buy something and think that my expenses will go down and they keep getting higher and higher!!!

FH and I picked 2013 bc we just bought a house and are paying for wedding ourselves. But we have been pleasantly surprised by the help from our families towards everything- they are picking up home items we mention we want to buy, or slip us money for hall payments
as far as budget, I tried to set one up, but RH offered so much, so our hall price went over original plan, but we are saving $$ from flowers, decor, uplighting, etc. It will work out in the end

I love that it's in 2013! if you start to feel stressed, take a month off from wedding talk, and you still have time to relax
