I think I am going to have a non-surprise shower.....

I would be having one because I am a control freak and I feel a need to have a say, if not control every part of it...LOL

My sister and mom have already planned my shower and sent invites. I have not been involved at all. I am trying to get them to tell me the date though so, although I won't know or be involved in any details, I can show up looking nice and not be suspicious for the next 2 months.

lol im not gonnan be surprised either. i went with my mom when she booked it! lol. me and my mom love planning things together. and, i donttt like surprises! Lol.

I don't think mine is going to be a surprise and purely for logistical reasons...my bridal party is coming from Vegas, CA, and MA and it's too hard to coordinate for everyone. I'm not concerned with the actual planning of it, so I don't need to know details...but the whole surprise thing is not a big deal to me.

lol, i really dont like suprises either. i mean they dont bother me and i can deal with it but i dont like them! mom refuses to tell me anything about my shower, even though i know i am getting one months before my wedding, lol! i am sure i will find out before the day cause i am just good like that and i hope i do cause i really dont want to be cought off gaurd, and when i walk in ill just pretend to be suprised and like i didnt know anything.. hahahaha! =)

Mine is not a surprise either...my sister lives in Albany so it would be too hard for her to keep making excuses for coming down here to 'surprise' me. I only know the date, nothing else....

I am not having a surprise. For one my mom lives out of state so I am going to be doing the research for places and all the little stuff 2. I'd rather be in on the planning.

My MOH lives in Paris, she said she can pull off a shower but not a surprise one. I would know the minute she showed up at my house anyhow. But I am happy about it, I didn't want it to be a surprise because I wanted to look nice. Surprise me at my baby shower when I look horrible already.

OMG- I was going to actually create a topic about this. I'm not being suprised either. My mom doesn't like surprises AND she feels like no one is ever REALLY surprrised...all girls either know and fake it or they figure it out.


I'm not all into suprises that much either- my MOH (my cousin) thinks it's kind of strange but- oh well. My mom has an easy face to read so if she was up to something I would figure it out anyway.

I'm comfortable knowing about it and that's all that matters. I just don't know how others feel since I will be one of the very few in my family to have a non-suprise shower.

I hate surprises like that! It can be fun I guess, but when I'm thrown off my game I feel uncomfortable - I like being in control!

mine was suppose to be a surprise but I MOH was behind on the plans and I had to step in. So know suprise for me. Two people already slip about the date. But I gave the favors, made the games up etc..

mine isn't a surprise at all because mom and all four BMs live outside of the NY area. no way all of them could get to NYC without me knowing, so it wasn't worth even trying...

I did! It's cuz it's really hard to schedule with me if you don't tell me in advance and plus my sister lives in VA, so it had to be when she could come back.
