Who is having their FMIL...

Get ready with the bridal party? I'm curious to know if you having them spend time with your girls and your mom, or they get ready with FFIL.

I will be getting ready at my FMIL house, so we will also have my BM's and my mom there getting ready with us.

I think it would be a nice gesture. I'm only having my sister as my MOH, so it won't be over crowded in our apt. plus, my FMIL doesn't have any daughters, so it might be a nice experience to help bring us closer.

She'll get ready in her own house. I asked her if she wanted to get her hair done with us and she didn't want to, she rather go to her own beauty shop so I didn't continue the conversation. I let it go!

That's what my FMIL is doing. Of course, I'm assuming this since I've never known anything different but I'm almost positive that's what's happening since he's getting ready at her house.

No. They also live on Long Island. She will be getting ready with her son and family at her house. Our parents live about 45 minutes apart. If they lived closer, maybe she would come over for hair and make-up, but since they're that far and it's a morning wedding, it really isn't an option for us.

My FMIL is from out of state, so she was in the same hotel the night of the wedding as my husband. She was with him in his suite the morning of. I had breakfast delivered there and the photographer took some pictures of them.

I didn't even give it a thought. Sh'e getting ready at her house with her son - it's my mom's special day too.

I answered with but only partly.
She is bringing FSIL to the hotel (she is a BM) and FMIL is getting hair and make up done with us then going back to her house to finish getting ready with her son and the GM.

My brother is in the bridal party and I was wondering where he should go, but we decided that he will stay with me. He'll miss out on some of the guy stuff, but I think he actually wanted to be with me.

FMIL is not getting ready with either of us. She will meet groom before ceremony for pictures. She'd drive us all crazy otherwise. She is from New Mexico and just doens't get NY weddings.

Thanks ladies. I had actually never even considered it, assuming she would be with her son. But it came up this weekend after I had my hair and makeup trial and my FH seemed shocked that I wouldn't have her get ready with the girls. I also thought she would want to be with her son.

she got her hair done with us and then back to the hotel she went. My mom of course stayed the entire time. thats the way i feel it should be. MIL hangs with her son for a bit and my mom stayed with me.

I'm torn on this one. I wasn't planning on seeing any of his family untill the church, but she isn't from LI & needs a place to get her hair & make up done, so my mom thinks she should come over & use our person, then I guess she'll get dressed at her sister's house where FH will be getting ready.

I'd prefer to have as few people as possible see me before the church, but I guess that's silly.
