FH and I actually attempted to discuss this the other night, but got into a bit of a tiff:
the BP (obv) and their sig. other
Parents/Grandparents

now I say Godparents.. but I know thats up for debate.. and whoever is doing a reading.... FH said the ppl doing the reading don't have to be at the RD.. I asked how they would know when to go upto read if they didn't rehears. He replied- if they've ever been to a wedding they'll know, the priest announces it. um.. NO they don't.. YES they do..
so yea... that was the end of that discussion.. we haven't even agreed on who's doing the readings. (oh there'll be a spin off to this one).

why bp with guests?

they will serve no purpose... i get OOT guest since they are traveling in, but we have none... i just dnot see the Point in peole not involved at church, and not involved at all to be included......

We're inviting BP with significant others and guests. Every wedding I or my FH have ever been in we were invited to the RD with guest.

Parents
BP with families
Chuppah holders with families
OOT guests (only one family and they will be staying with us for the week before the wedding)

I can't decide whether to invite the rabbi!! ??? We don't know him at all....just met him when we were looking for someone to do the ceremony.

I am inviting 70 people (ugh):

immediate family
BP and their spouses/significant others
OOT guests

We are not inviting our rabbi. I think its unnecessary.

I went to a wedding where FH and I wer OOT guests and He was also in the BP and they actually didn't pay for none of us we had to pay for ourselves.

If I do it it will be just the BP if they want to bring a guest they would have to pay for the guests. Also parents, and grandparents

Your wedding is in the summer so to make it a little cheaper you can have something in someones back yard and just cook some food that way it will save you money and you wouldnt have to worry if people bring guests. I'm thinking of doing that FIL's are paying for it but I'm trying to make it cheaper on them.
